Mike Tyson to fight Jake Paul (1 Viewer)

I dunno - I feel like when Mike gets in the ring, there's no moderation.

Stepping into a ring with Mike Tyson remains a highly dangerous proposition IMO

If Mike can channel the 1980s Tyson, yes.

But this isn't for a title belt. This is an exhibition with a guy who doesn't have much of a boxing background. I don't see Mike going in to remove his soul from his physical body.

I'd love to see it though. There was no fighter in history that fought with the power and uncontrolled anger Mike did early on in his career. MAYBE Joe Frazier but he still boxed. Mike was an overwhelming force.

I'll watch it to see if Paul plans to stand his ground or just run around the ring and have Tyson chase him. God help Paul if he finds himself trapped in a corner.

Tyson knows how these "entertainment" type fights can work. He fought an "exhibition" match against Roy Jones Jr. on the undercard when Jake Paul beat Nate Robinson. The result just happened to be a split draw so that both guys could walk away from the fight without an ego-bruising loss. Obviously, Mike will beat Jake, but that's not to say that there won't be some kind of a nudge-nudge, wink-wink understanding between the two.

There's an interesting interview with Tyson on the Joe Rogan. Tyson was speaking that if his ego is somehow sparked, then his mind goes to a different place and fighting that person becomes his only vision. I hope Jake Paul doesn't start trash talking. And if he does, I hope it has been prearranged like WWE, for his sake

Tyson, even at his age now and the fact he hasn't fought in close to two decades, will still be overpowering and dominant enough as a fighter to wipe Jake Paul off the planet, figuratively and literally, come this summer in Jerry World in north Texas.

By the way, I hope you've had a good morning so far today, Marsh.

Hmmm, I agree for the most part but not sure what you're inferring when you said "Joe Frazier but he still boxed". Early Tyson was a technician under Cus D'Amato. He combined that dominating force with the absolute precision of a predator to track down its prey. Starting around 1989, he became really lapse in his technical skills and training but at his peak he was a dominant boxer.

I think he's promoting the fight. I believe the truth is closer to what BoxerJoe said above. He could do it, but that's not what this is going to be.
Yep and he is doing it perfectly, although the lane to pick here is a pretty obvious one. "Hey all of you who think Jake is a disgrace for what he has been doing to the sport of boxing and would like to see him get eradicated by a legitmate guy...I'm that man! Buy the PPV and see me answer your prayers."

Odds indicate that Jake is the front runner, but he is also half the age as Mike Tyson. Tyson is suppose to make $20 million on this fight, so Mike is gonna win, one way or the other. Joe Rogan seems to indicate, that Tyson will win this.

Jake Paul should fight Francis Ngannou, not Mike Tyson.

I’m hoping Tyson comes in willing to let this play out for a bit for entertainment but then Paul punches Tyson just right to activate Mike’s kill switch and he obliterates Paul.

Going to start out as a fixed fight until Paul lands a hit that awakens Primal Mike Tyson's taste for human flesh he got from Evander Holyfield. Mike then proceeds to go full cannibal and devours Jake Paul in brutal and gory fashion live on Netflix.
