Mike Tyson to fight Jake Paul (5 Viewers)

While I share your disdain for the Kim Kardashian type worship, Jake Paul is levels above her (for example) in that he actually spent years of his life learning a discipline and trying to become the best he could at it. Has the money been outpacing his talent in boxing? I haven't seen all the bottom lines, but most would quickly say yes. Part of that is a good marketing plan, part of that is the worshipping followers, and part of it is the nature of the game (there are athletes in all sports who out-income their talents).
myself, i'm looking forward to the fight, so i guess the marketing works. i really want mike to go full mike though.

I just can’t imagine him backing off & going easy.
Sort of the beauty of it though right? Even if Tyson's supposed to take it easy.. no one including Paul really knows for sure what he'll actually do when the lights are on and the instinct kicks in.

Usyk is the new undisputed heavyweight champion. He nearly finished Fury in the 8th while scoring a knockdown and ultimately won a split decision with the decisive card being a 114-113 score in his favor.

Fury, post fight, actually said Usyk won because his country is at war.

Clown. If it wasn't for the referee, he would be in hospital waiting on clearance to be released from observation.

Tyson just looked so calm and relaxed at the face off. In his prime he looked like a lion staring at a wounded gazelle during those. I just hope he doesn't go into this thinking it's a promotional fight and Jake goes into it to make a rep for himself. I want Mike hungry or angry, maybe hangry.

Mike Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul has been postponed after the 57-year-old Tyson fell ill on a flight last weekend.

Tyson and Paul said Friday that they will announce a new fight date next week. They were scheduled to meet on 20 July in Arlington, Texas.

Tyson became nauseous and dizzy during the final hour of a flight from Miami to Los Angeles last Sunday, and his plane was met by first responders who attended to the former heavyweight champion. Tyson’s camp attributed the episode to an ulcer problem.

“During a follow up consultation on Thursday with medical professionals on his recent ulcer flare-up, the recommendation is for Mike Tyson to do minimal to light training over the next few weeks and then return to full training with no limitations,” the fight’s promoters said in a statement.……

His probably in too deep at this point, but considering his age and health, he really should just call off the fight.

both of them really want this to happen. it is a big payday for them both. neither one wanted a substitute or cancel..

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry is coming up later tonight for those interested in this alternate route toward the Tyson fight.
