Mikey Loomis: Its "Stupid" to think Dennis Allen has lost the Saints Locker Room (1 Viewer)

Loomis has morphed into a gaslighting politician.

"Let them eat cake." "What a bunch of dumb rubes you all are".

He's at risk of really burning things down when the wheels come off next year. Can easily become a toxic relationship with the way he is dismissing the fan base.

DA didn't lose the locker room but Loomis felt the need to meet with the entire team after the last game of the season, something he admittedly almost never does.... Yeah, that tracks.

Yup, how many other times has he done this the last 18 years? None.....at least none on record....

We aren't in good hands. We need a heck of a lot more than fine tuning. First off, Jeff Ireland should be the football GM. At the very least, Pete Carmichael should be fired, but, in reality, DA really should be fired too. He has no power and ability to create a winner. Keeping him for another season prolongs the pain.

Make Jeff Ireland head of football operations. Fire Dennis Allen.

This I could definitely get behind....Ireland's not perfect but he has earned a promotion....I think he is one of the few capable FO folks left....

This is what happens when you have a GM who a) has job security second only to Jerry Jones in that he’s never going to be fired and b) whose ego and arrogance is so high that he desperately needs to prove the fifteen years of success under Payton and Brees were actually because of him.

All we’re seeing now is that Mickey Loomis is badly out of his depth and got lucky in hiring Sean Payton. Unfortunately we’ve reached the point where he is also treating the fans like fools. Everyone can see DA has lost the locker room including national media.

Yup....but you have a host of folks trying to tell us what we are witnessing isn't happening.....it's mind boggling to me....

"Unsophisticated and lazy". "Stupid". Why the need to use negative terms about his detractors when defending his stance?
I don't know his reasoning, but I will say that usually happens when you know you've got no solid position to stand on.

Because they have nothing left, no rational coherent argument of sensical reasons why DA should remain as HC.....

I think we know what we have in Carr. He's a guy who can give you top 10, and even top 5 production in the passing gam
I think Carr can be about as good as he was a a Raider, but that's it. He has only beaten one team w/ a winning record this season. That isn't top ten in my book. But, I agree he has been better the last few games. Carr wasn't set up for sucess by DA or Loomis. Carr isn't the reason we are losing games now. The O line and Penning sank the season.

Loomis is Fredo from the God Father.

He finished the season in the top 10 in several categories and was at or near the top of the league the last 4-6 games. That's actually better than most of his time with the Raiders. It did take him some time to find his stride, probably in no small part due to first season with the team, injuries and poor coaching.

I think he's good enough, but he needs guys around him to be on the same page like most good QBs do.

Cooler heads always prevail and Loomis is a cool headed guy, a lot of the fanbase is speaking from frustration and are looking for reasons to whine and moan to justify their disappointment and find reasons why but fact of the matter is this franchise is in good hands, we have good players and we just need some fine tuning.

Oooooh, u drank a big cup of the Kool-Aid. Yikes!

I don't think DC is a great leader at QB, but I do think under the right offensive staff he could be very good.....the talent and ability are there....

I’d argue that he hasn’t morphed into anything but rather is calling out the fan base for being dramatic. Something fans are never really good at is taking criticism and misplacing blame when we don’t like the product on the field.

Saying DA lost the locker room is an assumption and it isn’t grounded on anything factual

I dunno, that last play where Allen told the guys no when they requested to run a play for Williams speaks volumes.

Fans, many that spend a ton of money on the Saints, are bad at taking criticism and misplacing blame when it's obvious the product on the field is
"not what they like"?

That's hilarious.....because we all know how really, really good Loomis and DA are at taking criticism.....

What an absolute joke of a post....

two clips from the same interview - there is probably a longer version of both out there somewhere. Cam has said in the first clip he was talking about player leadership. the second clip sort of speaks for itself i think (and AFAIK Cam hasn't commented on it futher).

Seems to me like Cam was indeed talking about coaching, since he separated “players” from “leadership” in the first clip.

Then later, which probably came after the Loomis locker room speech, he tries to claim he was only talking about players, which makes no sense.

I took it the exact same way but I'm gonna let Cam have the last word on it.

I mean at this point we've had multiple T-P and Underhill stories about how things went sideways in the locker room plus Loomis talking to the team alone to say 'in or out' but also Loomis saying its stupid to think DA lost the team.

Everything's fine.

On to the draft!
