Leaders lead and protect their teams. Leaders don't throw their teammates/subordinates under the bus. Leaders shoulder the blame and lead by example.

Also, based on what I'm hearing from Loomis, he's not a leader of men either, unfortunately.

Allen is the antithesis of a leader. If he's still coach next season, I'm not gonna root for him to fail, but I'm not gonna expect them to win either. I'm done with Allen at this point.

I hate that argument. Because it wasn't the whole team. I believe the O-line itself is responsible for at least 3 losses. If the Saints O-line plays the beginning of the season like they did at the end of the season, the Saints are a 12-win team. And that's certainly fixable in the offseason. And the starting 3 receivers after MT went down had a combined experience of 2 years. No team is going to the Superbowl with that lineup. But I see a lot of reasons to be excited about next season even if nobody else does. I think the players do, which is why they don't think they need to defend anybody. Because they know who they are.

I hear you. But we got beaten in some games before we stepped onto the field. Minn whipped our arses. Tampa whipped up at home. The Rams did whatever they wanted to do. To me those losses were due to not being mentally prepared before the game. We seemed overwhelmed by the opponents energy. (Or will/desire/motivation). And they kept brining it, and we couldn’t match it. It’s these loses that stick with me after the season. And this squarely falls on a Hc’s ability to motivate his team week in and week out. We do not have a coach capable of keeping the team focussed. Sure, We did some great things and have some valid excuses. But we arent competing against a good team that wants to win. Were what our record says we are. Average. No spotlight. Under the radar average. No public speaking, no national radio interviews, just local radio. lol. It’s why I’ve been hyping wanting to upgrade our leadership. Im sure ML will win back this fans base. So, I’ll chill for now.

Nope. Sports, especially the NFL is the only product where you can make money putting out a substandard product year after year. Look at an organization like the Jets, the Saints for years. Winning technically doesn’t matter. It only benefits the fans not the bottom line. We keep paying and they keep earning. We call it loyalty

Cooler heads always prevail and Loomis is a cool headed guy, a lot of the fanbase is speaking from frustration and are looking for reasons to whine and moan to justify their disappointment and find reasons why but fact of the matter is this franchise is in good hands, we have good players and we just need some fine tuning.

Players can’t stay off social media now all of a sudden it’s quiet? Not one “he’s our coach” “we’re in this together” “we’ll” “us” “we”. All year long you’ve heard players say talk about players, the guys in the locker room, teammates. Not once have you heard anything about the coaching staff included. In fact, they’ve almost gone out of their way to say it’s the players, purposely leaving out coaches and front office. Strange huh?

I don't know how more people haven't caught onto this. Every week it was something about how leaders needed to step up more, hold each other accountable, a pretty long list of things but not once did it involve the coaching staff. No "coach got on us and punished those who weren't watching tape." They had to do all the leg work.

Now at season end the local and national media and former players are ripping Allen to no end. I've heard maybe one or two people criticize Winston and all of a sudden players are tweeting out supporting him when the only people upset with him are Loomis/Allen. They're making their voice heard.

How many games was Taysom not utilized, lack of play action, need 2 yards, let’s throw 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, horrible tackling, a Houdini like pass rush, clock management, blowing 3 score leads……..sounds like REALLY sound coaching to me.

When the Saints are like 2-8 next season and the dome is empty, hopefully he’ll admit his mistake.

Until then, he’s gonna do and say everything he can to prove DA was the right choice. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Lattimore, Kamara, Jimmy, MT, Winston, and more all gone next season.

This off season will tell us all we need to know about Loomis and DA. We have to replace the LT, RT, and we still don't know what we have with Carr.

I think we know what we have in Carr. He's a guy who can give you top 10, and even top 5 production in the passing game, but struggles from time to time. He clearly wasn't on the same page with his WRs and coaches early in the season. He really started to find his stride the last 6 games or so.

Rumor is that he was injured early in the season and not being 100% hampered his performance, but once he got fully healthy, he showed what he should be.

I think Carr is fine as a QB. I don't know that he's a real leader though. I recall he bought some nice gifts for his teammates for Christmas, so maybe they started to really pull together late in the season and he or someone on the offense really pulled them together.
