Mikey Loomis: Its "Stupid" to think Dennis Allen has lost the Saints Locker Room (1 Viewer)

I’d have to look it up. But rarely has a coach been this disliked by the fan base and had this much reported turmoil in the locker room and had the coach survive it. So it’s kinda hard to compare it to anything else.
Go to the Eagles board , and they were I'm the SB last yr

Yeah but my impression has been that it’s been about the players playing for each other and for pride. Not for the coach.

Anyway, I’ll try to think of similar situations. But you’ve got fire Dennis Allen billboards up. You’ve got fire DA posters. You’ve got booing. You’ve got DA no longer being introduced to the crowd so he doesn’t get booed. If players really wanted to support him, they’ve got the platform to do so. Plenty have supported Jameis publicly for his decision to defy DA.
I think they were supporting him in response to media criticism, Winston apologized to DA so even he accepts that he crossed a line (even if it was for a teammate).

Fans are fickle, they wanted to fire Tomlin and ship out George Pickens for not playing hard enough after a three game losing streak in Pittsburg. Now things are great again with Tomlin after they won out and made the playoffs, and Pickens is no longer a bum after having 300+ yards and 2 TD’s in the last two games he appeared in.

Their platform is the field. I don't know why they need to say anymore than that. That's not their job nor do I think it's worth their time to do so. If the fans had their way, Kamara would have been traded a long time ago. Payton would have been fired a long time ago. Drew would have been traded. Lattimore would have already been traded. MT would have been gone a long time ago. There would basically be nobody left. All those things were discussed on SSF over the years. Fans complain. That's what they do.

THAT'S RIDICULOUS

Show me ANY athlete in ANY sport that won ANYTHING without a coach.
Show me a coach that EVER caught the game winning pass or scored the game winning TD or even kicked the game winning FG

Mickey Loomis is delusional he probably still thinks we are in the middle of the season.

Winston said he apologized but it had nothing to do with supporting DA. I’m not talking about that play specifically.

Point is: we have a group of players who aren’t afraid of sharing their opinions on social media. They’ve come out in support of a teammate who directly defied DA. They weren’t asked to do that. Just like they weren’t asked to support DA.

It’s interesting to me. In the wake of mounting evidence that DA tends to rub players the wrong way and/or doesn’t hold them accountable (to the point where players felt the need to go DIRECTLY TO UPPER MANAGEMENT), it’s interesting at the very least.

Hahaha!!!!! Loomis is going to cool head us into the cellar if they keep DA around (just kidding/not kidding/not sure any longer)!!!!!!

At this point, I'm pretty sure no one rational would conclude that this team is in "good hands".....
As long as our team is player run, we’ll always be .500. Ego driven teams win one then lose one. “We won, I feel great again, now I can do interviews.” next week: Loss. Up and down up and down. There needs to be a leader always stressing the sense of urgency and ballasy enough to deal with the malcontents. And not a leader, that when he speaks after a win, half the team isn’t even paying attention or even looking at him.

Because those clips don’t make for good Twitter videos to feed the narrative. For example, Cam’s alleged lukewarm comments about his coach cut off the rest of his statement:

Read in full, he is putting it more on the players than the coaches.
That was actually disturbing to read. What fan wants to follow a player driven team especially one that underachieved the entire year.

I hate that argument. Because it wasn't the whole team. I believe the O-line itself is responsible for at least 3 losses. If the Saints O-line plays the beginning of the season like they did at the end of the season, the Saints are a 12-win team. And that's certainly fixable in the offseason. And the starting 3 receivers after MT went down had a combined experience of 2 years. No team is going to the Superbowl with that lineup. But I see a lot of reasons to be excited about next season even if nobody else does. I think the players do, which is why they don't think they need to defend anybody. Because they know who they are.

I find this gross. What he's saying is that he met with players to get them to "fall in line" or else. That's how it comes across to me.

You can tell how the locker room is because just notice how many guys came out publicly to defend and show support for Winston, but nothing for DA.

Nothing.

You rarely if ever hear players talk about how great a coach DA is or the positive things he's doing.

Cam can't even give a straight clear answer about DA and stumbles to get a coherent sentence out.

This season has been dysfunctional and too often uninspiring. I'm really sad over what's happened to our Saints and I would have never thought that DA's leadership could lead to this, but it has.

I've lost favor with Loomis as well.
+1.

Mickey at it again. Do not be surprised at his idiotic way of thinking or statements. Trust me, we've heard far worst.
