Mikey Loomis: Its "Stupid" to think Dennis Allen has lost the Saints Locker Room (3 Viewers)

It is totally normal for players to completely ignore a direct order from their Head Coach and then be very proud of it during postgame interviews and on social media. Yup. Happens all the time.

A couple of instances that I can recall:

Sean Payton: "...if I would have wanted the ball in his hands, I would have called it that way".
Winston after Payton ripped him for throwing a risky pass: "Yeah, I would do that again".

Happen all the time? Nope. But, only to DA? Nope.

And then Payton did go with Hill over Winston. I don't know if that's why, but it kinda makes you wonder.

That was when Drew was hurt, and then he named Winston the starter the following year. Is that the sequence you're referring to? Granted, we all know no love was lost between Winston and Allen.

No it is not.

Yeah.

But I don't think that's true. Winston did resign with the Saints, and not because he didn't have any other options. He didn't spend a lot of time looking for other options. And I think he's back with the Saints in 2024.

“That’s not who we are, not what we’re about," Allen said. A clear message to the public that should have been kept internal.

And on the second point, your always going to have "rogue" workers, it's his job to support everyone, good or bad, its what good leaders do.
Why should it have been kept internal?

So it’s his job to lie?

When you run out of a victory formation, it's already public. It's something DA had to address. Besides just the players and fans, DA is responsible to the owner and his boss. And the negative press wasn't good for the Saints. And ultimately the NFL is an entertainment sport, and that negative press could cost the Saints money, not to mention more ire from the NFL.

As Graham said, they didn't think it would be a big deal, and I'm sure that's how it's treated internally. Because it isn't.

Rage over nothing seems to be the "in" thing today. Which kinda sucks.

Cooler heads always prevail and Loomis is a cool headed guy, a lot of the fanbase is speaking from frustration and are looking for reasons to whine and moan to justify their disappointment and find reasons why but fact of the matter is this franchise is in good hands, we have good players and we just need some fine tuning.

Mickey is stupid to think he hasn’t 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I find this gross. What he's saying is that he met with players to get them to "fall in line" or else. That's how it comes across to me.

You can tell how the locker room is because just notice how many guys came out publicly to defend and show support for Winston, but nothing for DA.

Nothing.

You rarely if ever hear players talk about how great a coach DA is or the positive things he's doing.

Cam can't even give a straight clear answer about DA and stumbles to get a coherent sentence out.

This season has been dysfunctional and too often uninspiring. I'm really sad over what's happened to our Saints and I would have never thought that DA's leadership could lead to this, but it has.

I've lost favor with Loomis as well.

Why do they need to even if they do?
Players can’t stay off social media now all of a sudden it’s quiet? Not one “he’s our coach” “we’re in this together” “we’ll” “us” “we”. All year long you’ve heard players say talk about players, the guys in the locker room, teammates. Not once have you heard anything about the coaching staff included. In fact, they’ve almost gone out of their way to say it’s the players, purposely leaving out coaches and front office. Strange huh?
