No it's not, he is a proven QB and so many first rounds bust anyway. Cutler being proven is what every team would expect from a FIRST PICK in the draft. We were going to pick at 18 this year. We still have plenty of picks to get some good talent.

The "Cutler for Orton and two firsts" is a headline-friendly version because ESPN is treating the third and fifth like 'Player to be named later' throw-ins".

Orton, TWO first round picks, and a third. I'm sorry, you're experiencing buyers justification and you got robbed.
 
I think it is a fair deal for the Bears. He has a strong arm, which is needed in Chicago. He is a young QB who has shown he can play. The Broncos have already eaten any signing bonus on his contract and they give up a later 1st rounder this year and likely a later one next year. That is not a bad deal for a young QB that you feel can be your franchise QB for years.

Dude, the Bears got punched in the colon in this deal. That is a ton to give up for Cutler.
 
I say the Bears just broke even on their off season moves. Why?...... Cause for every 6 points Cutler scores, Bullocks will hand it right back to the opposing offense!
 
When was the last time someone gave up two first rounders? The Girls for Galloway?
