N/S Cutler trade to Bears (mega merge)

No, it's not. They get a fifth in return. The Broncos get two first, a third and Orton.

There are conflicting reports then because Clayton is saying 2 1st's and Orton for Cutler and a 3rd.

So.. where do you think the Broncos will finish this year? I know the bears cant think Bullocks is their answer at safety.. Taylor Mays perhaps? I see Denver finishing with a pretty bad record..

Clayton reports 2 1sts, a 3rd, and Orton to Denver for Cutler and a 5th. At least that's what he said on SportsCenter.

Billy. Joe. Hobert.

And you have a ring. Don't come here complaining. :angryrazz: :ezbill:

Congrads on getting a great QB. He'll be just fine in Chicago.

There aren't more than 5 guys in the league that I'd give up two 1st rounders for, and Jay Cutler isn't anywhere near that list. Way too much given up by the Bears.

Hopefully behind the Raiders!

the loudest cheers in the state just came from the bears d. As much as I dislike the bears, the fanbase must be glad to hear that offense can win championships as well. the bears still have major work to do at wr and oc and cutler needs to work on his mental game, but they will see just how important above average qb play is, as saints fans can attest to.

John Clayton is a conflicting report. Once he gets himself straightened out, he'll report the right terms of the trade.

I would consider a 1st, 4th, and Orton a fair deal...I think they paid too much. I think Orton will play a little better in Denver, and I think Cutler will play a little worse in Chicago.

That doesn't make the trade right.

The chance to get a proven probowl QB doesn't come up often at all. Trades of this nature are extremely rare. The Bears have had one glaring hole for years holding them back and thats QB. They made the right choice and will be a better team with Cutler.

That would horrible for Denver.

You don't give up an elite QB for what basically amounts to a late 1st rounder. A 4th round pick and Orton hold little value.

I seriously doubt it! You must think Cutler is just that good. Who's he gonna throw to? Who's gonna compliment Matt Forte. Besides Rickey Manning Jr., and Brian Urlacher, who are they gonna scare with their defense? Nothing in Chicago screams, "hey world, we are getting better"!

Cutler has only proven one thing thus far, and that's Cutler having huge arm strength. Yeah I know he threw for over 4,000 yards before, and made a ProBowl, IMO by default. ProBowl really doesn't mean much anymore. Too many really good atheletes get snubbed...ala Brees

Jay Cutler=Aaron Brooks
Strong arm, horrible mechanics, non-leader!

Wow you really don't like Cutler... Who's he gonna throw to? Hester maybe? I mean he is miles better then Orton in not only arm strength but also accuracy. I hate the bears, this makes them a very very dangerous team.

They gave up a crummy qb(Orton), yes he is a bad qb, he was only starting caliber on da bears, dude was not a good qb. And they gave up one semi late first rounder this year and another probably later first round next year considering they will most likely be right in the race for their division with this acquisition. I wouldn't even consider them a contender before this pick up, now i'm watching them a little closer.

Bears won big time in this trade.

Clayton was just on the radio here and said that the deal was Orton, this year's first and third and next year's first to Denver for Cutler and this year's fifth.
