Friday was the holiday since New Years Day is on a Saturday this year.

Monday would be the holiday when NYD falls on a Sunday.

Yeah, just depends on the day. During the week, normally New Years day is the official holiday.

I'm normally up til between 12 and 1 am. So I tend to watch one of the shows, like the ball drop or similar. I like to listen to the music and just chill at home.

I don't find the ringing in of the new year meaningful on it's own. Probably not even top 5 holidays of the year.

I flipped a few channels to watch the countdown (because tradition and stuff) and there wasn't anything special about any of them.

I do like that that Dick Clark can't be thrown out there post-stroke anymore, because I thought that was just a monstrosity.

Related note, am I the only dude that thinks Miley Cyrus is not at all attractive?

I wouldn't call her hot although she has at times, but I do think she pretty great more often than not. I absolutely love her voice though. She can sing her arse off. She does some pretty great covers.

Yeah, there are definitely others I think are much hotter to me. But ultimately, eye of the beholder I guess.

A) I already added that she has a great voice.

2) I don't mind ink, but there's nothing on hers that I've seen that I particularly find interesting.

I got a little help from the Intertubz on that one. I can sometimes remember full quotes, but I wanted to get that one exact because it was such a great scene.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Joe Dirt whenever I see it on the tee-vee. Not so much on Joe Dirt 2.
