To be fair, there is a nonzero chance he was benched for tanking reasons

Not saying Winston is anyone’s franchise or anything like that though
I wasn't going to say anything but folks will run with whatever is in their mind for their reasons. I have a buddy at work who is a Browns fan and he believes that if Winston remained the starter, the Browns probably win against the Bengals and Dolphins and those 2 wins would have driven them out either close to or out of the top 10. People really think they benched him for a QB who has only thrown 1 TD in his career to win? LOL

I live in Kentucky with lots of Bengals fans. I told them to hire Dennis Allen as their Defensive coordinator. Despite the hate for DA he was a great DC and could really help their team next year.
I agree 100%. I don't think he was good as a head coach but one thing we can't do is lie and say that he can't put a defense together and get it going.

i could see them going after him or Saleh
DA and Selah should be the 2 top candidates for DC anywhere in the league.

And if you watched Hard Knocks you know Nabors was their guy from the start, but they were looking to trade up for Daniels. Washington wasn’t willing to move. Their scouting was pretty good in the last draft.
So was it the owner that allowed Barkley to date other people and it backfired? Serious question.

The answer is that he shouldn't have been hired in the first place.

It was another "former HC basically picks his successor" situation like Payton and Allen. I respect the Patriots for pulling the plug early for a full reset instead of wasting more time. Had Dennis Allen gone 4-13 in his first season here, no one would question it had he gotten fired after that. They'd have been begging for it.

I want to see what Daboll does with the next QB
This part. what he did w/ Daniel Jones his 1st year in got Jones paid, but then he was exposed. Seeing if he can do that w/ a better prospect is worth keeping him for.

Jameis Winston was 0-3 with 8 INTs in his last three starts before getting benched.

The idea that he was going to beat the Bengals and Dolphins is almost certainly not true.
