Caps took care of the Canadiens 6-3, in a game that was boring at times.
Ovechkin scored and had 2 sweet assists. He's 37 goals away from Gretzky. Connor McMichael all of the sudden is a playa... it seems Jacob Vrana coming back to the Caps did him good.

Goaltending still suspect, though. The 3 Habs' goals came too easy.

This is one of the best saves you'll see all year. Wait for the end to see it in slo-mo. About the only Blues' highlight as they took 8 from the Caps :hihi:
2 more for Ovie.

Pens defeated the Caps on Friday.
That is all. 😁
Speaking of stinky water birds, while I watch the refs job the Caps.... Lars Eller is coming back to Washington after a trade with the Penguins. He's not playing against the Leafs tonight... Caps have to de-lice it and disinfect him before he's allowed in the locker room :hihi:

Here's something that may give you a chuckle:
There is a video posted on the Caps page about Dylan Strome doing some charity event against cancer. The title of the video is "hockey fights cancer", but instead of reading it noun-verb-noun, I read it as the cancer of hockey fights, and immediately thought, 'what did Tom Wilson do this time?".

Ovechkin with the hat trick! 29 away from the record.
Note the pervy cameraman at the end of the video :hihi:

I've come to accept that Ovie is going to break the record so now I'm on board the watch! As long a it isn't against the Rangers. Haha...

Amazing when I think about the amount of all time greats I've been lucky enough to watch.

A couple of minutes after the hat trick, a graphic went up that showed the top 5 "hat trickers" all time. Ovie is #5 now with 31... #1? Gretzky, of course, with 50.

Barren some unforeseeable circumstance, Ovie should break the goal record. But it's just mind boggling to see the records Gretzky holds... I don't think anyone will get close to him, ever.

Depending on health, McDavid MIGHT have a shot to crack 2,000... and still be over 800 points behind Gretzky - it was a pleasure to watch the great one live pretty much nightly

I know hockey is very nondescript w injury reports, but what happened to Ovechkin? “Lower Body” Injury?

Leg. Got the worse of a leg to leg collision against the most creative name in all of hockey. He's listed week to week. Of course, what exactly is wrong with the leg, that's on a need to know basis, and apparently fans don't need to know.
