Crosby nets his 600th career goal😁
However, Pens lose again, this time to, uh, Hockey Club?😩

I guess they didn't have time to come up with a name (franchise was awarded in May?), and Utah Coyotes doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. I do hope they keep the Coyotes' alternate jersey colors, those red unis were nice

The name is supposed to be temporary and will be revisited during the off season. Great way to sell merch.

What would you call them, though? The Salties? :hihi: The Gulls? Elks?

ETA: The Utah Salt... get it? The Ute Assault?

I'll see myself out.

The rarest play in hockey: the netminder scores a goal! Open net too :hihi:

Add insult to injury... the scoreboard officials had to go back and rewatch the sequence to figure out who would be awarded the goal; the game resumed, and a few minutes later, hats started to rain down on the ice, once it was announced that the scoreboard officials determined the puck had graced Brayden Point's knee, which gave Point the hat trick.

New York Rangers and goalie Igor Shesterkin have agreed to terms on an eight-year contract extension.

@Grumpy Old Manatee I hope you are ok after the Avalanche-Pens game.

Meanwhile, the Caps are hot, especially on the road (9 straight road wins). Really good game last Saturday against the Canadiens. The 1st 2 periods everyone skated lightning fast and it was back and forth from one end of the ice to the other. The Caps goalie won the game, stopping 4-5 breakaways. I frankly wasn't expecting this, especially with Ovie out.... maybe they play better without? Now I am a blasphemer.

Awwww…

I’ve come to grips with the fact that the Pens will be average, at best, yet again. The “plan” to try to rebuild while attempting to remain competitive just cannot work. But, they’re my team, so I just have to embrace the suck when choosing to tune in.

Happy for Mikko Rantanen. Got to meet him a couple of times during his AHL stint in San Antonio. As with most hockey players, very humble and down to earth.

Caps are really rolling. Hopefully, 8 comes back soon so that they’ll start losing again.😏
