A new QB from the outside isnt going to work. There is many moving pieces when it comes to implementing an outside QB.First they have to learn the playbook or playcalling langauge, build chemistry with the offensive line and a rapport with the recievers

Honestly, I don't see us trading for a QB. Now, we may pick up one off the street for emergencies....is there even any in FA right now? I mean, I know there's no JW sitting out there. But, as much as I hate to say it, if it comes to needing one in an emergency, there are some out there like Cam Newton.....now I gotta go find the Listerine....

Edit...and this isn't a system where you can just come in on a Monday and be ready to go in 6 days...this is a system where you need at least a full offseason to work into. Roll with what we got.

If we lose Hill...then we go to Siemian...if we lose Siemian, we go w/ Book...at that point experience is the least of our worries.

Would like to have a QB with experience, Especially with Super Bowl winning post season experience on the roster. This team will most likely be in the post season. Couldn’t hurt to get a player like that if we get him for a reasonable trade

I'm asking for a source, not a link, if you can't say where you got it, then all I can do is take your word for it. I don't know you from Adam, so it might as well be a hill of beans to me. If someone else vouches for you, then fine, but I haven't seen that either yet.

Just because you say something is a fact, doesn't mean it's a fact. It's just a claim until you provide more than your word that it's a fact. It's a variation on Schrödinger's cat for the rest of us.

Another long time and well respected member of this board knows Foles and his father personally. He's vouched for their character more than once. I've never seen that member make any other claims based on having anonymous "inside sources."

I've seen other claims you've made based on anonymous "inside sources" turn out wrong. If you're going to publicly disparage another human being, you should have the courtesy of being willing to provide something more than just your word when you do it. Otherwise, you're just being a gossip.

Sadly there’s a reason why Foles, in all his SB glory in Philly can’t stay on a roster the past several seasons. He’s mediocre aside from him impressive runs off the bench in 2017 and 18.

However, for the right price - I’d love to see what he could do in this system.

So when Nick came in for Michael Vick in the 2013 season and went 8-2 throwing for 27 tds vs 2 interceptions for a 119 qb rating, that was mediocre?

Nagy's offense is a disaster. The players all know that and were glad when Nick offered Nagy his opinion on things.

Nick Foles might be the third-string backup for the Chicago Bears at quarterback. Yet that hasn’t stopped the longtime veteran from having a voice in the locker room. He has fast become somebody teammates respect. Especially when it comes to the situation regarding the offense. Even as far back as last season, he was spotted having animated conversations with head coach Matt Nagy whenever the unit was struggling. It wasn’t hard to surmise he had strong feelings about its overall ineffectiveness so far this year.

It is also well known the Bears have a better chance of winning with Nick than they do with Fields, which is no knock on Fields. They have just decided to take their lumps with a rookie qb to see how he develops.

Nick is a smart kid who is big and strong and competes hard. He would be a great fit with Payton and an upgrade over what we have now. I don't see it happening but I don't think the no trade clause would stop it.

Teddy is the only guy who could hit the ground running and actually be a little better than what we have in our room already. Teddy would allow Taysom to stay as the dynamic threat he is. I don't see any big names getting moved during the season.
