One NOLA food per row only… (3 Viewers)

time and money - i'm about as far away as i can be in metro continental north america - would love to see the saints play live, and try the food - someday!
There used to be an excellent Cajun place in downtown Seattle, run by a deaf guy.
Don't know if it's still there.

You guys are not seeing the big picture and missing the golden opportunity to have the next turducken.

Give me a Boiledcrawfishpoboymuffaletta with a side of jamabalyaetouffeegumbo and a pralinestuffedbeignetfilledkingcake.

Aunt and Uncle left the Parish for Colorado in the 80s. Their final meal was at R&C, and every time they are back in New Orleans it’s a must that the family eat at R&C. It’s good food (bordering on great), but it’s the ambiance and memories that set it apart.

Were the 70s and 80s the golden age of the Parish?

My dad worked at Michoud for years through the 70's and 80's, R &C's was a staple for lunch runs....Their mac and cheese is the world's best IMO....I dated a few girls from Chalmette and that was a frequent go to place, love the atmosphere, so classic NOLA.....

First thing I have to get upon visiting NOLA is a cup of seafood gumbo and a shrimp poboy....usually at Kenner seafood....

This is a tough one. I would go B, 1, X.

For my picks, I'm imagining my favorite version of each of these staples. I'll go the next step and offer a ranking for each category filling in the gaps with a NOLA staple I feel should be in the conversation.

B, C, grilled/blackened fish, A
1, Red beans and rice, 2, 3
Y, bread pudding, X, Z

This was tough because I love all of these. Given the day, it could be a totally different order especially if I can add the choices I did. I'm definitely more of a fish platter person but sometimes I want a poboy. Would be interesting to check back in a year and see how I feel then.
