OTAs Week 1’s Practice Notes & Highlights: Trevor Penning moving to Right Tackle (1 Viewer)

Taysom and Juszczyk roles have always had some similarities. Hopefully kubiac is seeing some expanded uses for him. No sense having a swiss army knife if your just gonma use the flathead screwdriver and toothpick.

Hope the creativity continues to AK and Sheed.
I hope so, those are your main move/mismatch pieces. I'd like to see Juwan Johnson on the outside a few times too in heavy sets.

Payton convincing some Saints fans that Hill was a genuine NFL franchise QB will forever be his greatest work.
Time has passed and that ship has sailed but it wasn't such a crazy thought at one time. Due to Taysom's value in the joker role, he never got to fully prep for being a full-time QB except for one off-season and that wasn't until he was what...around 30 years old? I know TCUDan mentioned several times that he thought Taysom had QB1 potential. I don't mind being in that same company. Regardless, I am very much looking forward to seeing what Kubiak does with him this season.

He was a QB his entire life, he was in the Heisman Race at one point at BYU this guy did not just starting paying QB 4 years ago.

I wasn't implying that he had just started playing QB a few years ago. To suggest that there could be no significant difference in development for a guy committing fully to an NFL position (especially the QB position of all places) instead of splitting up his time in several different position groups/meetings over the course of several years is pretty ridiculous.

One reason I really like the younger Kubiak’s signing, we get the advice of Gary for free anytime his son wants or needs it. Cheat code.

Yep. Basically like a big time "bonus coach/consultant." Kubiak may have had his flaws as a HC, but there is no denying that the man knows offensive football, and he is a great guy for our team to be associated with.

Getting his guy Rick Dennison is a coup as well.
