I never understood how a group of people/strangers could sit in a theater and watch a XXX flick like it was a Marvel movie or something. That's something you do in the privacy of your home, in a dark room. Same goes for watching a XXX flick.....

Well, XXX movies in the theater were a thing before the internet became a big thing. I agree with you though. No idea why anyone would do that these days. The only thing I can think of is maybe someone might think they could "score" there.

Tee-hee…. tbh Ive been overseas and off of social media /message boards, trying to become an Asian Wife Guy[tm] like @Zack Lee with varying degrees of success…. But ive been lurking for a couple of days, and i had to jump into this thread b/c , as luck would have it, i actually attended Paul Ruebens’ old high school in Florida.. ok, it was only for one semester - and it happened to be summer school- but i digest…. Still, i felt a kinship, and we were proud of him.. this was way back when the Earth was still cooling, when Pee Wee’s Playhouse was still on the air, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure had only come out a couple summers before , and i was a pretty sizeable fan.. then, a couple summers later- my high school buddy Josh was working at a Taco Bell next door to the infamous adult movie theater where PeeWee got busted, and he gave me the scoop before it hit the news …. Ah, what a time to be alive .

Excellent point, GMR - i should have been more clear.. they are two separate things.. i have been working in Asia AND i have been on somewhat of a self-imposed media hiatus…. Are the two connected ? Tbh im not sure, but as i am readying my return to the land of mass shootings and political extremists (ie the good old USA) - i now find myself consuming social media & message boards again.. so my guess is that there is a connection .

From what I've gathered from the online tributes, he was genuinely a good person. Did he make some mistakes? He did, but if anything, this story tells me of what kind of person he was at his core. Rest in Power Paul...
