A lot of discussion so I'd like to see a poll.

Still way too early for me to give it a good guess so I'll hold off on my vote, but some of you seem pretty confident on who you think will be the starter opposite Keenan Lewis.

Some think Champ's veteran status trumps all else. Some think White solidified himself as the starter last season. Some think Robinson will bounce back. And maybe Stanley could just come out banging and surprise us all.

It's also a difficult question because it's possible Rob Ryan could prefer a certain CB in specific situations and defensive packages. He may prefer Champ in a matchup against someone like Roddy White, but he may prefer Robinson against someone like Desean Jackson.

But even though Rob may rotate players frequently and play around with sub packages, I see one guy being able to claim the starter's status. I'm kinda leaning towards Champ right now, but I wanna hear some more about OTA's first. Interesting that Robinson practiced with the first team.

Thanks for voting, I'm curios to see where the board's leaning.

I think Corey White starts opposite Keenan Lewis. But both Bailey and Robinson will see a whole lot of action too.

Champ will be the "starter". But I think Ryan will mix it up depending on what coverage he might want on any given play and also to not be predictable.

I still feel like White is an ascending player and at this stage is a more productive player than Bailey and though Robinson is back from injury his style of play may not matchup well to that of White, SJB and Bailey as they are more physical players and Sweating is another player whose potential and development may come into play.

Anyone think we carry 6 CBs Lewis, bailey, white, Robinson, sjb, sweeting? I see it playing out in that order. Bailey starts and switches to nickel in nickel package with white on the outside. Robinson plays in dime packages. I see the saints playing 3 CBs and 3 safeties in passing situations. I don't see then going 4 cbs and 2 safeties.

I'm not convinced we get Champ if he doesn't have some sort of idea he's the #2.

This reminds me of the RB situation after the 2010 playoffs. PT was hurt, Ivory was hurt, and Reggie went down early in that game. The next year we drafted Ingram and got Sproles after Reggie left to team up with PT and Ivory.

After last years playoff game of being down to Sweeting and White after Lewis went down SP said let's add Champ, SJB, get P Robinson back and make sure we are very deep at corner.

I love that SP refuses to allow the same problems to happen twice. And an assist to Loomis for making the salary cap his *****.

What a great problem to have. Those are all some very solid choices. Robinson and White both have starting experience, Champ or course is Champ, and a promising young 2nd round draft pick who could steal the show. Not to mention Sweeting who could also be improved. Wow we are loaded. My bet is still on Champ.

Yeah a lot of folks forget about Sweeting. He was "groomed" last year after a good preseason and training camp. Starting CB is a long stretch but not impossible since i remember hearing a radio interview where Ryan thought highly of him.

I'm leaning toward Champ and PRob sharing the role as our #2. White gets slot duties when we go 3 CBs against TEs and bigger slot WRs and PRob gets put in on the outside when we go against faster WRs with Champ getting slot duty.

We will be in nickel at least 40% of the time.

It will be a luxury to have Keenan Lewis on the teams #1 receiver and Champ, P Robinson, White and even Vacarro to cover the other receivers. Throw in Bush and Byrd at safety with Cam, Hicks and Galette pinning there ears back and rushing the qb.

Man, our defense is going to be awesome.

I would also throw out there that I expect Rob Ryan to run a version of the 46 defense in certain situations.
