Who will be the Saints starting CB opposite Kennan Lewis?

I think Champ is on a mission ala Daren Sharper (before all this rape stuff back when he was just a Saints player) I think Champ will earn the position and keep it.

Why are people being red thumbed for THEIR opinion about Corey White being the starter?? WOW!
In my HONEST opinion, ALL of the above mentioned will be a "starter" at some time during the year. (Rob Ryan defense is interchangeable in many facets.) With that said, I expect White to line up opposite Lewis against the Falcons, week 1.

I think Champ Bailey, no doubt. Too much experience to not start him. Some say he's lost a step and I'm sure he would agree, but they've started guys there who are far worse than a Champ Bailey at 75% or 80%.

It's interesting how people say Bailey is so slow and old now.

He ran a 4.3 in his younger days, and could probably run neck and neck with Lewis at 4.47 these days. Before Bailey, Lewis was probably our slowest cornerback on the roster.

I voted for Robinson to begin the season as the starter. He looked good this preseason and he's got younger fresher legs than Bailey. Looks fast with good anticipation.

I think Bailey is going to be preferred in certain packages and will have his role. Him or White wouldn't bother me at all if they had to start any number of games.

SJB has a lot to learn still, but looks promising at times.

I think the speed of our safeties allow the slower, yet more talented Bailey start.

I like Prob but man he gets horribly beat and turned around sometimes. Just looks like he's completely lost at times out there!!:covri:

Man, I still don't know. Bailey being out most of training camp didn't help. Haven't seen enough from Bailey to know if he's our 3rd CB let alone our 2nd.

Champ Baily for sure.
I did not see anything for the others to justify being the 2nd starting CB.

I think Bailey is #2 if healthy. Prob looks good in camp, but he didn't look good tonight. I would think that going against the same offense on a regular basis allows a defender to learn the offensive tendencies, which is why I think Prob looks good at camp. Watching Prob tonight brought back memories of the 2012 defense.
I do think Prob has so much potential and can be the #2 if he puts it all together.

This first game against Atlanta will be tough on all our db's!!!

Champ Bailey is 36 years old. He doesn't have much left, we shouldn't exert him too muc. Even if he is better than PRob, why risk him? PRob didn't play his best game today, but he did all other preseason games. So we can't ignore that fact. And we can't ignore the fact that Champ is easily injured.

He was reminiscent of Keenan Lewis last preseason, how did that turn out? I think P-rob starts and Bailey spells him occasionally. I suspect we want to keep Bailey fresh for the playoffs.
