Popeye's Chicken Sandwich (2 Viewers)

I love popeye's onion rings. The franchises here don't have them. :(
From my experience, most of the stores that have onion rings now use the generic frozen kind. I believe it was mentioned in another thread(or maybe earlier in this one) that some people have found select locations that still do the hand-battered cooked to order onion rings. I miss those. The closest that come to them are Chubbie's onion rings.

The Popeyes near the intersection of Belle Chasse Hwy and Wall Blvd on the West Bank ... they had cooked-to-order onion rings until about a year ago :(

It's been a while, but I don't remember any of the stores here with onion rings. I love those things.

I'm here in MD and both the one on Rockville Pike across from White Flint and the one in Cabin John mall do made to order onion rings....they are just like I remember when I lived in Metairie.....

I know exactly where that Popeyes is

I’ll stop in next time in Rockville

Thanks for the heads up

I’m pretty sure that song actually is referring to Rockville, MD.

I tried this thing again this weekend.

My first try a few months ago generated a (it's a good chicken sandwich, but I don't get the hype) response.

My second shot at this on Saturday was (Damn, that's one seriously good chicken sandwich)

Can't wait to have another.

I finally got to try one on Saturday. It was pretty good. I mean, its not like, "this is the greatest sandwich ever" , but I will say its leaps and bounds better than any other fast food chicken sandwich, especially the size, it was a pretty large piece of chicken. The next time I go there i'll get another, that is, if the line isn't too long. the one by my house is usually pretty slow regardless of the chicken sandwich.

I haven't had one, but I'm convinced that they're putting some kind of highly addictive drug into this thing that is causing the levels of interest for it.

people are just like that in general these days.
Perfect example is how people use to be with the I Phone. Stand in line for 8 hours to get the newer version of the same exact phone they already had, except an extra mega pixel on the camera and some new emoji's on the keyboard..

My son brought me one last night on the way back from visiting friends in Towson. It was still a little warm and it was pretty darn good.

I like the pickles but they should really add finely shredded lettuce IMO....
