I haven't had one, but I'm convinced that they're putting some kind of highly addictive drug into this thing that is causing the levels of interest for it.

Had Popeye's just come out with a regular TV ad about their new chicken sandwich, there would be no hype. But the moment they went on social media, threw the gauntlet at CFA, and created a "challenge", that's when the craze started.

That's not hype. That's advertising. The hype was organic as it should be when the best fried chicken is finally placed on a bun and sold to the masses.

BTW, order it online before you get there, folks. I walked in, waded through the crowd and walked out today with no issues.

The hype wasn't "organic". It was manufactured the moment the challenge to CFA was issued.

Now, don't get me wrong. I like Popeye's, and a piece of Popeye's chicken inside a bun with pickles should taste good (haven't had one, and now I won't on principle )... But it is not THAT good, that people should stand in huge lines and wait for hours for it.
