So I just asked the girl taking my order at Chick-fil-A if their spicy chicken sandwich or Popeyes was better. She looked around to make sure the coast was clear and told me Popeyes was better.

It is pretty damn good. My wife and kids didn’t get a chance to try it over the summer, plus the Saints were off and the weather was nice yesterday, so we decided to go to the zoo and hit Popeyes on the way for lunch.

The wait wasn’t too bad - maybe twenty minutes? They were getting everyone’s orders in quickly, but once you ordered there were probably 25 or so tickets ahead of you waiting to be filled.

That’s one of the benefit of going to the Colfax Popeyes. No fights, just people burning an appetite enhancer in the parking lot while they wait for their food.

I've given up. When you drive by Popeyes at 3:30 on a weekday afternoon and the line is wrapped around the building, there is no hope.

1st time I went drive thru was at least an hour wait. So I parked went in ordered and was out in around 10 mins.

Now that I'm back in NOLA for the foreseeable future, I guess I'll finally get to try this thing. But, I'm not waiting in these ridiculously long lines with a bunch of crazed lemmings. I'll wait for the things to die down. I did get a Popeyes fix about a week ago(spicy strips with sweet heat sauce, fries and a biscuit) and it was infinitely more flavorful than anything from Chick fil a.

While the sandwich was gone I was reminded why you cant compare Popeye's customer service to CFA.

Every. Single. Time. I walk in, the person right in front of me wants a 16 piece, with 4 orders of strips, and they are out of spicy we now ALL have to wait for.

Aint too many fast food joints where one person can walk up to the counter and order so much god damn food.

I’ve had both and both are good in my opinion, different but good. It’s not like being a part time Saints fan and a part time falcons fan. This to me gives me more options if I’m in the mood for a chicken sandwich.
