Not really. It appears the batter on the chicken in the sandwich will be different than the tenders.

That and tenders as so hit and miss at a lot of places. I used to eat tenders a lot, but very rarely do anymore. They just aren't all that good in too many cases.

Edit: I'll say though, still love Cane's tenders. They do it pretty well.

The chicken tastes like actual chicken and the batter is flaky, even if bland. I like the sauce. Not top tier, but decent enough. And, oddly enough, I think their toast is great. Like their lemonade too. The fries are indeed forgettable tho.

I am disappoint.

I have disappointed many. But, it could be worse, I could be intrigued by a Chicken Big Mac. At least it's an actual piece of meat instead of processed pieces parts.

Plus, no matter what you think of Canes, it's still the best restaurant in Baton Rouge.

they wouldn't be bad if they added a little seasoning in that batter. but they want to rely on their sauce instead.. i guess they figure if they added some seasoning people wouldn't care about the sauce..

Actually, I think it's more about trying to appeal to the broadest population. A lot of people don't like much if any seasoning in their batter. So the sauce is the "seasoning" and people can put as much or little as they want on the chicken. I definitely could be wrong though.

The tablespoon of coleslaw isn’t much better. But two slices of the toast with canes sauce and a fried chicken tender is more than tasty.
