Potential Severe Weather tomorrow, 3-22-22 (Update: Tornadoes on ground in metro area) (2 Viewers)

Crazy how that storm was basically nothing out on the eastbank of Metairie, few crashes of thunder and that ends up happening to Arabi/lower 9.

My niece will be on GMA tomorrow morning, as I understand via ZOOM interview, with GMA sometime 7am CDT (or there abouts/during that hour). Her name is Brooke.

From WOW Wingery of St. Bernard:

Please spread the word. Anyone in Arabi without power, a place to stay, and to Our first responders working right now…. We’ll be at the restaurant in less than 30 min to open our doors for you all. We’ll feed you all complimentary, come enjoy some a/c, TVs, music, let the kids play, charge your electronics and just take a break from whatever is happening. We will stay as long as needed. Again, we are not opening for regular business tonight. This is strictly to help those in need right now and to give them a little break from the chaos. I hope everyone understands. See you all soon!!!!

THANK YOU! 👌

They are EXTREMELY grateful they survived. Personal belongings/property can always be replaced.
That is the most important. But, man, resiliancy around these parts is needed in spades.

Good lord! That thing was a beast. It's why we always say all it takes is one. That is the "one". Huge bust of a system then a one intense tornado moves through a major metro. Hope everyone is ok.

This is awesome. Thank you. She was able to find shelter with family. ❤️

Especially for them, as the house was damaged some from Ida. Now, it is totally ravaged.

Im here if I can be of any help. Is the house on Friscoville?

Will have the drone up in a few if your neice would like me to drone the house for insurance let me know. I’ll probably get it either way but can focus on it if she likes.

It’s not a very long path but it’s bad. Going to be a high end EF3. Could even get a low 4 rating.

Meant to say not a very long path.

I have more on my Facebook page. Will have full path or near the full path on YouTube in about an hour. Starts very weak near river, hits Francisville St pretty hard, weakens briefly until it gets over the railroad tracks. Then slowly intensifies again. The high end EF3 damage was limited to a dozen or so homes but the rating will go from the worst point.

When you have the video on Youtube, could you share the link here, please? I'd like to watch.

The Twitter video is from that neighborhood. It’s definitely the worst.

Just spoke to 2 of my clients ( one on Aycock by river and other on Community St just next to St. Claude )

Both minor - some shingles missing - but yet 1 block over - devastation. One client has son on Friscoville...said his son watched tornado lift car into air and drop it in to next door house. All happened in matter of seconds. So it looks like it was "skipping" along until it got to W Judge Perez and really settled to ground.

Ugh.
