To put into context with playing styles and our offensive coordinator:

I'd be willing to bet that Haener can be almost as good as Brock Purdy and can win within a system before I'd bet that Rattler is Jayden Daniels as a rookie and can win games on his own with subpar surrounding talent

Regardless, give Haener first shot at it. If he ain't it, fine. Put Rattler in.

I don’t think Haener has a prayer of being the answer, but this would probably be the best move. If he does well, great. If not, Rattler comes in without the pressure of by passing the QB who was above him on the depth chart first go around.

It’s just the pure talent discrepancy…. I’ve seen Spencer do it in college and flash it in his 4 games. I’d like to see more if he had a half second more to throw and a healthy running game. I like Jake…. But just based on his talent and college vids…. I have him pegged as Carr-Lite. I want to see if we have a future starter, not a future backup.

He’s not playing a kids game. He’s playing a professional sport against elite athletes and you are watching it and posting on a message board about it. So I’d say it’s safe to assume, it’s a pretty important endeavor for you.

And he sacrificed his body in an effort to get a win to make you, yes you… happy.

If he’d have slid out of bounds he’d still been paid just the same. He gave extra for his teammates and all the ungrateful fans. He doesn’t get extra for that.

Sorry but we don’t need more Spencer Rattler . He is not ready and you could see it plain as day in the 4 games he played . Yes he had a great quarter or 2 against the Bucs . The rest was deer In head lights rookie . Potential ? Yes he has the Talent but he isn’t ready and is a year or 2 away . Jake Haener can play in my opinion and also has a high ceiling as a drop back passer . I know that isn’t what people want nowadays but it’s the most tried and true type of NFL QB . Yes the great athletic QBs are all the rage but most fizzle out due to playing style. Jake got shafted the first time around when Carr went down and didn’t get to play . It 100% needs to be Jake if for no other reason than offensive continuity. Since they obviously think game plans don’t have to change with him in . Hence why he is Carr’s backup . I like Rattler and I do think he has the talent . I also think Jake gives us the best chance to win . With the division still in limbo with 4 games to play you go with who gives you the best chance to win .You never know Jake may totally surprise some people , dude can play just needs a chance .

He's done the very best he possibly can with he's been given and over the past 2 seasons, his supporting casts haven't been the best. He threw for 25 TD's and 3,600 yards last season with an idiot, moronic two-time failure as an NFL HC and some OC's who haven't had the most creative, elaborate play-calling for him to use.

When you have an underwhelming, clueless dimwit for a HC in Dennis Allen, it does significantly hurt your potential or ceiling to be a consistently successful team. He made Derek's life very difficult at times on game-days at two particular points in his career.

Obviously, you didn't watch much of JH in college, he did more with much less than SR. SR has 1 thing over JH , arm strength. JH makes better decisions is more accurate and anticipates better
