Prayers up for Derek Carr [Mod Edit: Derek Carr is week to week with fractured left hand and concussion] (8 Viewers)

First I want to say Carr gave it his all on that play. I’m a fan who didn’t want the Saints to invest the money in Carr and thought they should have signed Baker, Darnold, or Mariota type to a one year prove it deal. The other option was keep Dalton or Wilson. Then draft a young QB and sit for a year and if your vet does good resign him and let the rookie keep developing. I want to see the Saints draft a first round QB in my lifetime. Most of the hate isn’t Carr it’s that we had that in Dalton who we could of had for cheaper and they could of used the money spent on Carr to upgrade at OL, DL, or safety.

He's received $100 million dollars minimum to play a kids game. I'll hold the tears back for now...He didnt join the military
That's the going rate for a mid tier starting QB in the NFL. besides, there's a whole lot more involved in a contract than the final dollar amount. How much per season, how much signing bonus, how much applies to the salary cap and when, etc, etc

So has there been confirmation that his hand is broken? The tweets I saw didn't actually say that it was, only that it was the concern from a source.

The alleged source came from Underhill. He didn't name the source for obvious reasons. I don't think we'll get a clear answer until whenever the injury report, or maybe from the staff in the next day or two, idk.

I dont care if he got 80 oor 120 to play a kids game. People break their hands at work all the time, and tears dont flow. He will be fine.

He has also had terrible online play throughout his career. I grew up as a Raiders fan in the 70's and 80's. Started liking the Saints in the mid 80's. By the 90's they switched. Position's in my fandom. I have been all about the Saints and pull for the Raiders as long as their winning doesn't hurt the Saints chances of making the post season.

That's why you need to leave that dumpster fire thread.
I did after the stupid remarks I just closed the browser and watched the game. I am assuming most are drunk or high and it just makes the thread even more toxic as the game goes on. Nothing but whiners and cry babies in the thread, not all but I would say a good 80 percent.

It was THE worst play of Ingrams career
He re-injured same MCL that made him miss nearly a month that season.

Considering it was his right knee and the sideline was to his right, he literally couldn't drive off the leg to turn upfield. Additionally it was only 2nd down.

People act like it was 4th down and we turned the ball over because of it. No, we had 2 more chances to pick up that 1st down (while we were up 16-3) and what happened? Threw a slant to Callaway that got broken up then punted.

As for it being the worst play of Ingram's career, LMAOOOOOOO. It wasn't even his career worst play against Tampa Bay but carry on. 😂

Sure it is relavent. If he was a working class dude struggling to support his kids I'd actually feel sorry for him. Being a multimillionaire... meh.
So I went back to his original post, and he/she implied people were shedding tears for Carr when the post he quoted said no such thing. It was a strawman point, and there was no point to the post, at lead not that I could see. Carr is gonna be fine sure. Ain't nobody shedding tears for him either. If fans are upset about the injury, more likely its because the guys behind Carr are not ready to be starters yet and will be tougher to won without him.

It might shock some people to learn we're 5-4 with Carr and 0-4 without him.

He had played a very uninspiring, lackluster, free-of-making-plays game until that point. And he laid it all on the line. I actually thought he made the first down. Get well Mr. Carr. See you next year.

Nobody hates Carr, and no one wants him to suffer a serious injury. That said, I'm not satisfied with him as our quarterback.
