He gets paid anyway, a mechanic may lose his income. There are a lot of oil riggers missing a few digits...Sure it is relavent. If he was a working class dude struggling to support his kids I'd actually feel sorry for him. Being a multimillionaire... meh.
Huh? Who said that? And even if someone said that...so what? Why do you care about that?It is to say prayers about a Broken hand.
Sure, until he doesn't. You do realize that player's contracts are only good for a certain length of time, and that injury settlements are a thing in most professions. Oil riggers suffering a career ending injury usually will get an injury settlement as well. Certainly not near as much, but commensurate with their relative salaries. I have a close friend who was injured in a horrific accident offshore when a high pressure pipe burst and blew off his leg below the knee. He received a seven figure settlement and retired. Wasn't 8 or 9 figures, but still enough that he'd be ok with good financial management. He gets paid anyway, a mechanic may lose his income. There are a lot of oil riggers missing a few digits...
I don't see the surrounding cast improving with the prevailing CAP and roster defences.I'm fine with him as the starter next year, if you give him a good surrounding cast he will help you win games....
No way! You have seen plenty of Rattler with a horrible offensive line. Rattler is the guy.Prayers lifted for a speedy recovery.
I hope the team plays Jake the rest of the way, to at least see what we have with him. We’ve seen plenty of Rattler.
We're going to beat the Raiders, Commanders, or Packers along with the Bucs. It's going to be 7-10 if anything less than 9.See, even the football gods are trying to help us to a better draft pick.
How you figure he is the guy. Started 4 games. Didn't do well. Got benched. Every quarterback at some point will play with bad offensive line. I know it is a factor but I keep hearing bad offensive line as the main excuse for everything. I am not saying Rattler isn't the future. What I know what I seen from Rattler these 4 games is he isn't ready. He isn't any different from most rookie quarterback. Give him some time. But what we don't know is Haener. He had a good training camp and seems to understand the offense better. I would like to see if Haener can be a starter or viable backup for this team. No one knows because he hasn't started any games yet. I would like for him to get that chance. No way! You have seen plenty of Rattler with a horrible offensive line. Rattler is the guy.
I see nothing wrong w/ this assessment. In fact there are several other players I’d like to see play so I know where we are w/ them.Jake is definitely not the answer. I’d rather see Penning play QB. At least that would be funny. Spencer has the potential and talent to be a NFL Quarterback. I want to see him behind a healthy Oline for 4 games. That way I know if we have to draft one out of necessity
I personally think Rattler is the much better QB, but I have no problem giving Haener a start or two to see what he can do. If he plays well, let him finish the season. If not, try Rattler for a couple of games. It is probably that neither are ready, but at least they can get some experience. How you figure he is the guy. Started 4 games. Didn't do well. Got benched. If we roll into next season and the roster looks similar to this seasons roster then hedge your bets. You aren't building a playoff team with a journeyman QB (who has now missed multiple games in back to back seasons)surrounded by UDFA skill players, perennial underachievers (see our DL & OL) and one aging stud RB.
We would need another epic 2017 draft class to right this ship next season. Let's hope the light bulb turns on for Rattler and he beats Carr for the job next off-season. The status quo sucks.
