Randy Moss (1 Viewer)

No but heck no. Why would you want to burden the character guys we now have on our team with trying to keep this headcase in check.

Bad idea.

Exactly. Could they keep him in check, maybe...but wh risk it. I want these guys focusing on getting back to the championship game, not babysitting a knuclehead around New Orleans or worrying why he's sulking and taking plays off. NO THANKS!

life after football for Randy Moss.......Would You Like fries wit dat. Hey U know me I used to play football, no really I did ;(

Extra change extra change.......

Plenty of Moss haters around here, not surprising really, he's not a well liked player in the NFL.
But i think he could be great on the right team, he wants out of Oakland badly, and i can't say i blame him after last years debacle they had there.
Art Shell was probably the worst coach in NFL history last year and there OC had been out of the NFL for 12 years LOL, not to mention A. Brooks and a young guy that had played in the NFL before as the QBs.
I think Moss would rather go to a good team instead of staying in Oakland for a rebuilding project. He could land in Green Bay, but if the Saints got him it would be interesting to say the least , with Moss, Colston, Bush and Duece and maybe a rookie TE for defenses to worry about. We could go from having a great offense
to having something even better, almost un-defenseable.
Of -course Moss can be an a**hole at times, but he is no T.O. type of player IMO,
On a organized team thats going in the right direction i think he would shut his pie hole and play ball.

Why would you give him the benefit of the doubt here? He was playing for Minnesota in the NFCCG when they were blown out and he flatly admitted he didn't play with effort because they wouldn't let his "boys" hang out on the sideline. Thats one win from the Superbowl and he gets an attitude and betrays every single teammate of his.

No way do I want this guy on the Saints club.

Moss is a punk.

no thanks. we took a guy named Albert Connell who had character issues after a division championship in 2000, and we all know how that worked out. His best years are behind him and hes a loser (character wise) to boot. He needs to stay in Jokeland with his QB.

Michael Irvin is a coke head and a punk also, and he wheres 3 Super Bowl rings.
T.O. is a punk and head case but when he was in the Super Bowl with Philly
he played like a MVP.
In fact there plenty of a**hole players that helped teams win Championships.

If this team thought he was the player we needed to get a super bowl win i would be all for it. I don't think they will bring him in though, he doesn't seem like a S. Payton type of player.

When's the last time you guys saw Moss in the news as being a distraction?

Better question: When is the last time you heard of Moss:

1) showing how to be a leader by example

2) involved in positive activities in the community

3) having an interview where he sounded like he's got it together "upstairs"

The one image that I remember that I'd never like to see (with him in a Fleur de lis helmet) ...is the one where he pretended to drop his pants and moon the fans in the endzone.

I'd rather have Marques Colston, thank you! :gosaints:

i think he was the most deadly WR to ever play the game, but he has issues and his abilities arent what they were...so I will pass... unless he would do a cap frindly short term deal and we wouldnt have to give up more than a 4th

Lot of talk about 'not playing' for a guy who has done nothing but average 1200 yards and 12 TDs a year over his career...and that's counting the last two years on a horrid Oakland team where his #s dropped a lot.

T.O. never helped anyone win a Super Bowl Championship. He did play well in that game and he is a good receiver, no doubt about that. Still wouldn't want his antics affecting the Saints locker room. A team wins Super Bowls every year and guess what...none of them needed Moss or T.O. to do it.

Irvin, while he's not gonna win any person of the year awards, was a good teammate, who cared about winning and played like it. Yes, he had some off the field issues, but nothing like the cancer in the locker room that T.O. and Moss are. These two players' antics have direct negative impacts on their respective teams.

I feel confident that Payton wants no part of Moss. And it would seem that you agree with that point.

But I guess we'll see.

i look at the team and i think of how much class we have showed in the past year and wounder if moss would be able to live up to the same kind of class that we have on this team.

Yes, i do agree that Payton probably wants no part of Moss, it would be interesting to see him play on a good offense again though. Oakland has been like a graveyard the last few years.
