Rap: DA returning barring “debacle”, Gayle/Loomis commend him for “holding it together” citing injury excuses (1 Viewer)

You keep saying that, but the fans pay their salaries and they absolutely owe us a competitive team.
I’m going to keep saying it because it’s the truth. What they owe us, strictly from an entertainment perspective, is to not go out and sabotage their own capability. What that means is that Derek Carr doesn’t suddenly throw 40 passes a game with his left hand, Alvin Kamara doesn’t do breakdance moves when he receives a handoff, Cam Jordan doesn’t sit cross-legged on the ground when the ball is snapped, and so forth. They are to go out there and exert effort. NO GIVEN RESULT IS GUARANTEED TO YOU, ME, OR THE MAN IN THE TREE. They are not out there competing against shadows. EVERYBODY in the NFL wants to win. You are conflating “these aren’t the results I prefer” with “these guys are personally offending my sensibilities” and it’s childish at this point.
If I were a business I would love to have customers with as low of expectations as yours. Just give you garbage and you'll keep on coming back.
You don’t know the airlines I don’t fly, charitable organizations I’ve withdrawn donations/volunteer time to, vehicle brands I no longer consider when I’m ready for a new one, computer models I won’t purchase anymore, or a very long list of things about me, based on how I approach fanhood of a frickin’ sports team. What I’ve learned about you is that the success of our favorite football team spoiled you and now you’re incessantly braying all over a message board and souring others’ experience with your negativity. You’re not a fun read any longer and I’m withdrawing future engagement with anything you post here.

Haven’t yall ever heard of the “dreaded vote of confidence”? Relax, they will fire DA after the season. They are not gonna say that now.

If it makes for a filled Dome going nuts for a team with a winning culture for the next few YEARS at the expense of a few meaningless games this season? You bet your arse.
It doesn’t. Zero people could show Sunday and Allen isn’t getting fired.

Exactly,

We just trounced a hot Tampa team playing outstanding defense.

The slot corner people were whining about last week and how bad the coaching was playing out of his mind yesterday after that "terrible coaching."

Our offense was downright entertaining and effective. We had what, 5 turnovers against a team that led the league in to margin.

Yesterday was what we had expected all year and we did it without MT, Latt, Ramchek and his backup.

That was an extraordinarily well coached and played game. The Bucs had 50 yards in the first half 4 first downs and 3 from penalties 2 of which were BS.

Some of you would complain about winning the lottery.

Exactly. As much as I don’t like Allen and think he has a lot, lot, lot of areas to improve on, yesterday was a day. He did well. But how many games has that been this year? I’m all for giving him kudos, but is this is a cincinati
Bengals for years end of the season. Do just enough to not get fired

If this guy is in charge next year, I only hope that we trade back and trade back until we have no picks for him to waste. So that when we're finally rid of him, the next guy will have a better chance to build a roster that fits the theme he wants to run. You know... An actual game plan, instead of "chop wood" or "just keep sucking"

Gayle Benson should tell Loomis that he CANNOT trade UP in the draft and cannot trade future picks. He can only make picks in 2023 that we have OR trade down for equal value, such as a round higher next year or trade chart comparable value this year. Loomis is likely to push all his chips in to draft a Guard and trade up to pick #8 overall to get him as he is to trade back or stand pat with his picks. The guy likes getting players NOW and riding with that. This team needs picks and lots of them in the top four rounds this year and next year. Sending our third to Denver in 2024 in exchange for their second was not a good deal. They would have given us the second no matter what. Payton was worth it and they knew that going in.

They came out so quickly after that win against Tampa that Dennis will get a 3rd year.

Kind of a weird flex, but okay.

You have substitute teachers coaching this football team. You think Dennis has the same level of control as Sean? I doubt it. He probably has to check with Mickey before he uses the bathroom. There's no way he's making any decisions on Pete Carmichael without Mickey signing off on it. It's a real mess.

Absolutely cancelling my season tickets if DA is still coach. Love my team but I'm not paying for a reboot of this crap. DA is absolutely miserable and we're going nowhere with him. I'll go back on the waiting list and invest again when this team is investing again.

And it only took until the end of the season with our playoff door effectively shut...

Last Sunday wasn't winning the lottery, it was matching a Powerball number. Cool and all but you still need to go buy another ticket for the next drawing and you have next to no shot of hitting the jackpot.

Let’s be honest with ourselves. Allen wasn’t going anywhere and that’s been the word since the 3 game skid mid-season.

Loomis has made it clear that Allen is the guy. I don’t know how he can objectively believe that Allen is at best mediocre and at worst just plain bad.

I don’t know what to think of it all. It’s going to be a tough offseason and the fan support is going to plummet.

Their only real hope to create some excitement is to bring in a hot name at offensive coordinator. An in house promotion won't cut it nor will bringing in one of his old buddies from Oakland.
