28 is "almost" 30 and almost no running backs are not playing past 30 anymore.

Was he ever a bellcow? I believe the 30 wall is for bellcows, guys in rotations can be effective past 30. Isn't Ingram 32? He was still good when he was 31.

He was only a bellcow his rookie year and then half the season in 2020. I believe he is still effective but is he worth the money he is going to want in this market.

None of us know what he's asking for, so we really don't know. He's still available so I will assume he probably wants more than 2 years, but it's a grey area & no one wants to give them a regular contract but that doesn't mean they hit a wall. 28 is the physical peak for humans.

Hell yeah, bring both of them in. Barr wins the SLB position over Baun easily. He'll benefit from being asked to be a role player/ take relatively low amounts of snaps.

He's a depth piece, to replace an injured depth piece. Love how people just see a name they know and assume they're some free agent prize.

If he can stay healthy and surpass who we have, lagniappe, but not why he was signed.

You just stop that talk right now. Werner only took over the starting job from Kwon because the latter temporarily misplaced his 'skins on the wall'. He's a bonafide stud.

And everyone knows Kwon doesn't even have very expensive tastes in chips. So he would likely have paid us for the glory of coming here as an aging, injury prone back up.

I think it's more nuanced than that. It's probably the amount of years and guarantees that is holding him up from signing with someone. Teams probably want to give him a 1 or 2 year deal and he wants 3-4 maybe?

Yeah age wise he should be okay. Another thing he has going for him is that he hasn't racked up as many carries as a lot of backs have by the time they are 28. I'd love to have him. Fool around and create a damn RB Voltron!

And I'll take Anothony Barr too. He's not the player he once was but if you look at our depth chart at LBer, seems like we could fit him in.
