RB Kareem Hunt visiting the Saints tonight; Saints also working out LB Anthony Barr (3 Viewers)

For me it is all about the what these guys will cost! Both would be positive depth additions if they don’t demand much more than veteran minimum, otherwise I would pass.

Both of these are good moves as backups for us.

I really like that we are putting some actual money into our backups this year with Vets and not relying on rookies like we have the last 2 years.

Go ahead, it won't be my fault, it'll be the DL if that happens. Our run D has been getting worse since 2021.
And whatever you do, don't look at Kwon's poor run fits, before he ended up being replaced. Instead, imagine the wrecking ball player he no longer was, as if that is enough to will him back into existence. Kenny's certainly trying his hardest to.

Barr is a savvy vet, and could be a great budget signing, but I think he's gotten injured every year for like 4 or 5 years straight. It's why the viking let him walk, he hasnt finished a season since his last pro-bowl year in 2018.
As a depth piece, I'll take the chance.

🤔. How odd the coaches think we need another backer when our resident experts tell us we’re perfectly fine at linebacker, and make fun of anyone who disagrees? 😂😂😂
How odd that people who think we're not perfectly fine at backer ignore the fact that we only signed a backer, when one of our existing backers got a season ending injury. Almost as if... we were fine at backer?

I would take both. Neither would have to be full time guys unless an injury requires it. Would be great depth signings.

You're telling me that the Saints aren't willing to go into the season with question marks at RB? They know Kamara's suspension and it's only the 4th string RB on the depth chart that's injured. /sarcasm

It's not that anyone thinks he's going to be AK! Kamara is still likely facing a suspension and Miller is not practicing. On paper, the Saints don't have a RB rotation for game 1 at the moment. They have just 1 quality RB that would likely be playing if the season started today. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Yes, AK, Williams, and Miller is a good rotation if they are all healthy and playing. Right now, the Saints should be thinking about other options just as precautions.

This shouldn't have been hard to see coming.
