Reggie Bush is the new Aaron Brooks, or will be soon (2 Viewers)

Is it me or are rushing yards down overall this year in the NFL? It seems like most teams are struggling to run the football. Larry Johnson, LT, and Tiki are having nice years, but it just seems like most teams are defending the run pretty well.

22 players are on pace for 1,000 yards. I think last season like 26 had it. So when you consider the increase in "committees" at HB I think it's probably the same.

See, precisely what I talked about. The issue isn't with his play, it's with his "hype".

It's an issue with the media that, for some reason, gets taken out on the player.

Question, what should Reggie have done? Refused the Saints said "no i'm a late first rounder at best, I can't accept this contract"?

The issue is w/ his play. If it wasn't for they hype, his behind would have bee sat on the bench Sunday.

All Im saying is the hype is what made him a rich man, so its something he will have to deal w/

I am not complaining about his contract, but his play..

I think that maybe most teams struggle to run it early in the season, but as injuries and fatigue set in on defense and offenses get into rhythm, it becomes easier to run the football later in the season. This is just speculation, but it seems like teams have had more success running the ball in recent weeks and RBs were really quiet in the first 5 weeks of the year.

Well QB sacks were WAY up to begin the season as well. Apparently a lot of offensive lines got shook up during the offseason and it's taken some time for them to settle down and get to business. You maybe on to something, it may have affected teams run games as well. I could check it out but i'm lazy :ezbill:

Reggie Bush will come around he may not be producing as much yards are high light clips as he did at USC but the man stills needs to learn things. with a teacher like deuce and a future coach of the year in payton YOU WILL SEE WHAT HE IS CAPABLE OF DOING IT JUST TAKES TIME. And time is on our side because Payton is useing him just the he needs to for us to win games.

expect great thing in this YOUNG TALENTED MAN

COLSTON ROOKIE OF THE YEAR NO DOUDTS

:hihi: Same. Too lazy, but I hope it's true for the Saint's sake. Deuce looked pretty explosive last week but our line just couldn't get that big push. I really do think that because we pounded Tampa Bay on the ground in that first game, they really focused on stopping Deuce yesterday. Thank god we have a QB who can make them pay.

We can only hope given that AB gave us a playoff victory.

There is a huge difference. AB didnt care to get better, he just sat there with that confused look. I never saw him once going over plays with the qb coach. The guy either hung out with his friends or just sat there. You can tell Bush wants to win.

What do you people consider to be "Bashing" Bush? I see crying about questions regarding his YPC, and habit of bouncing outside. I'll bet these same people being sensitive about Bush were calling AB dumb & useless daily. Some of you were also jumping on anyone who wanted to go in a different direction than Bush.

Relax.... The players don't care about you, or what the forum thinks about them.

Wow, unbelievable. Reggie is playing a vital role on a team that could be THE comeback story of the year. The positive media coverage and his work in the community are priceless. Some people amaze me.

What do you expect? We live in a country that the most popular sporting event is to go and watch cars drive around a circle for 3 and half hours.

"Last year, 75 million fans went to the track to watch the cars go round and round, making NASCAR the nation's most-watched sport".

America is a country filled with sheep and this board is no different. If you actually watched the game yesterday and saw 2-3 Buc players in the backfield on most rushing attempts you might be able to figure it out.

How is it appropiate to accuse some people of a blanket statement (Some people are just complaining about his YPC and habit of bouncing outside, not calling him a bust) and then to turn around and make.....blanket statements? (Assuming we're all talking about everyone who has ever said anything negative about Bush, NOT just specifically people who are calling him a "bust". Suggesting the same people being sensitive about Bush were AB haters).

Oh, and news flash. If you wanted to make a generalization, it's a ton more likely the Bush defenders were all in favor of AB as well.

I'm not even sure what you're saying. I do know I'm sure I can identify some who are complaining about perceived bashing of Bush, yet don't hesitate to attack other players. I've responded to your past PM about this frequent stupidity with you, yet here we are...

If you watched the game yesterday, Bush had SEVERAL opportunities to cut it up for positive yardage and good gains...it goes both ways...He is not a good RB right now, no matter how you spin it...he is a very good 3rd down back and slot receiver...
