Who said that he was a "star?" I said that most QBs that you believe are stars benefits from the exact same thing that tried to use as a knock against Jones. Again, if we are being honest, the top teams in the NFL are led by game managers with a top tier defense and/or run game.

Seems pretty realistic to me. Our division is trash, and one only needs to look at Sean Payton in Denver. He took over a team that was projected to have one of the worst rosters in the league, traded Jerry Jeudy, cut Russell Wilson with a massive cap hit, and drafted a rookie QB. He's now in the playoffs in his second season in the toughest division in football.

We can mostly fix this cap in two years if we want to. It'll all come down to the draft success.

I don't think there's a team in the league that can't turn it around in two years if they hit on the right things. One of the good things about the NFL.

We lack foundational pieces at several key areas and with Davis, Jordan, Mathiew, Hill, and AK aging out, and no true quarterback of the future to build off of, I'm just not thay confident.

Detroit with infinitely more assets took 2 years to just over over .500 and 3 years to truly turn it around.

While Josh McDaniels is somehow worse of a head coach then Dennis Allen, he's still a good coordinator.

So he's a worse version of DA seeing as how DA was a good coordinator.

Glenn, Rizzi or Gruden would almost guarantee we keep Carr. Any other coach and its up for debate. I don't mind Carr. A healthy team and right coaching and he's a top QB in the league. We could do a lot worse. That being said, its a difficult situation and if we are serious about getting out of this funk, rolling with Rattler next year is not a bad idea. Heck, he could still turn out to be the guy we're all wishing for

If we keep Carr, we should keep the new system Kukiak installed because it's the best Carr has ever looked. I don't know about keeping Kukiak though. He thoroughly was unimpressive as a play caller.

Did you even read what was said. Someone close to one of the HC candidates said it would be a 2 year turnaround. And if you followed Tripplet, you'd know he's done articles saying it would take until 2026 to get the cap right. How does this make Loomis delusional?

He didn't agree to a trade last time with the Raiders. Carr will not give up any money or control. He would probably require the team to release him in that situation.

Then, the question would be who would blink first if you make him the backup in 2025 behind Rattler, Haener, or another veteran that you bring in...
His 2026 his cap number gets a lot better for the Saints to release him after June 1, 2026.

My personal opinion due to his age is that he will not want to lose a year of playing backup QB...

He also was extremely lucky with one of the most loaded QB drafts in a long, long time...

Because if the timeline mentioned by the poster is the expectation, it's unrealistic based on the talent, age of many key players, assets, and the resources the team have within that time frame, it seems extremely unrealistic. You're basically banking on a 2017 type of draft.

The example is our defense is the main reason our season went so badly.
It couldn't stop anyone in 2024...

Vrabel was a DC before he became a HC.
When he took over as the Titans HC there was a remarkable improvement in the play & effort of their D.
With new younger players and a using the 3-4, he could have the same effect for us.

A turn around would hopefully happen sooner.

I think his point is that there is no way Carr would want to work for Josh McDaniels again and would want to find a way out of NO if he were hired.

I think everyone on the Raiders wanted out when they hired that clown.
I remember seeing a video of Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow after he was fired, they said "a weight has been lifted" and "we aren't walking on eggshells anymore".
A few others said that he would literally start yelling at everyone while watching game film after a loss, nobody wants to deal with that sheet.

What has he ever done without Brady at QB?

The rumor is he thought he would lure Brady out of his semi-retirement at the time. When that failed, he brought in Brady's backup (Garopollo) and thought he would cut it as a starter. He was very wrong on that one.
