Rodgers-Cromartie...4.28 40 yard dash' (merged) (2 Viewers)

I was amazed at how turning your foot when you plant made such a difference in how fast you came out of your break. Good stuff.

If you were impressed with Cromartie in this aspect, you should take a look at Mckelvin's.

If they don't pay FA's the money, why are they going to like paying an unproven #7 pick rookie the money?

Like I said, they may take a corner, but I would almost guarantee it's not at #7.. It's just my opinion.. I just don't see it happening..

Because what you pay the 7th pick in the draft is chump change compared to paying Samuel or any good FA for that matter.

Last years 7th overall pick signed a 6 year 17 million dollar contract. Thats less then we paid Jason David.

Sure, it's cheaper than paying Samuel..

But it's 6 years 17 million if you only count the signing bonus.. Total value was $40.5 mill.. And how often do #7 picks not play out their rookie contracts, outside of a troublesome few? Even if they rework the deal later, which just costs more money, it's still big money.. The #7 pick isn't cheap no matter how you slice it..

Ravens need a QB in a bad way; if Atlanta takes Ryan they very well may go for Brohm, causing yet another intriguing prospect to get closer to us. Patriots are the wild card in this; many mocks have them taking a CB (Jenkins or McKelvin), but I also don't see them taking a CB at #7...like us, it may depend on who falls to them. The way their OL was manhandled by the Giants, I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade down and get Clady since Jake Long will be gone by #7.

They will have to pick and pay for someone there regardless. They may trade out, but I doubt it.

You think playing man at Tennessee State somehow prepares him significantly better for the NFL then if he played Cover-2 at Tennessee State? Really?

I don't think you understand the position very well.

Well, playing cover 2 for the Super Bowl champs didn't prepare Jason David for playing man in the NFL....

Perhaps you over-estimate your own understanding. :dunno:

Still want Gholston over DRC?????

First off I never said I wanted Gholston. I said he would be BPA if by some miracle he was there at 10. And if he is there he would still be BPA and we should take him.

Jason Davids struggles had little to do with the scheme last year. He struggled just as bad in Cover 2 defenses last year. We played a good bit of Cover 2 last year.

Bonchie, it was just a question I asked in regards to how quickly he might adapt and fit with our scheme. It wasn't to say he was the next Jason David or that I wouldn't be thrilled to have him on our team. Typically corners take at least a year or two to develop into NFL systems, and the quicker DRC might be able to make a major impact for our team, the better. That's all I'm sayin....

Well, we are argueing over nothing. I'm pretty sure he was a man corner at TSU.
