It depends on whether or not the team doing the tampering is the 49ers, the Patriots, or the Saints.

I don't think one CB fixes our problems in the secondary... not even one of Asante's caliber. With that said... 3 CBs of his caliber won't completely fix it either... we really need a pass rush from the front 4 .... and a LB or 2 that can blitz worth a damn.... oh, and a Saftey that doesn't trip over his own feet would be nice too.

Also for those that are freaking out about the possible signing, Champ Bailey was on ESPN earlier today and when asked who he thought the number two corner in the league is, he respnded that he felt it was Asante Samuel.

Let's see....Samuel would start....Craft, no.....David, slight chance he vastly improved.....Usama, slight chance he vastly improved......MM, chance he will never fully recover and bigger chance he won't play until week 8.......

Well, at least they're trying to upgrade the D. I give them a A+++ for effort. It's nice to see a coach keep his word to the fans.

However, I am hesitant to believe everything that PFT writes unless it is reported on other sites as well. The whole "Terry Bradshaw is dead" threw me off.

Even then it may not be true. Remember when Chris Mortenson insisted that Eli would be out longer than projected and ESPN rode with it? Remember when Herbstreit reported that Miles was headed back to Michigan?

I only remember about 5 plays from the Superbowl and Samuels missing the pick on the Giants last drive to win the game is one that sticks out. I havent seen the Pats play too much otherwise. I hope he is worth the hype if we sign him.

Going to do what we always do IMO. Try and fill needs in free agency and draft the best available player on our board. If it's DRC so be it.
