Sad news...sr.com member St. PJ has passed away (1 Viewer)

I'm stunned by this. My thoughts and prayers to his wife and daughters.

Always enjoyed his posts because he just called it like he saw it - especially when he felt the franchise needed to be called out (which was totally contrarian to most of the board). He did it in a blunt, in your face way that was funny to me. I admired him for that.

I remember when we use to do the SR mock drafts and St. PJ and myself would haggle over potential trades in our DMs like we were actually GMs lol. He was knowledgeable and a caring a fan. My condolences goes out to all of his loved ones. RIP St. PJ

Unreal. Way too young to go. He’s one of the better known members here for sure. SR.com just lost a great Saints fan. Condolences to the family and friends.

Sad news. I hope his family gets some small consolation from his SR family and their grief is tempered somewhat by how we feel about him. He will be missed here. This pandemic needs to be wiped out, please everyone...... do your part.

I saw a post from PJ's wife Jessica with the news that St. PJ passed away this afternoon from COVID. Please keep the family in your prayers. Here is her post:

This is PJ's wife, Jessica. Today around noon, PJ passed away from Covid-19 very peacefully at Lafayette General hospital surrounded by family. His close friends gathered in the parking lot to also be near him. He had received all of his sacraments before he was intubated. He spent his last minutes holding his rosary & having Padre Pio relic (piece of his glove) touching his chest. He will be cremated and buried with his Mom and Grandparents.
https://www.johnsonandbrownfuneralhome.com/ will be in charge of the funeral. It will be held at the local Catholic Church in Lacassine which burial on the side of the church.
No official arrangements have been made at this time.
Thank you to everyone that have called, texted, stopped by, brought food or just prayed for him.
Our family is very grateful for our supportive family and friends. We are overwhelmed at the outpouring at this time. PJ and I have always talked about his life. We have always felt that he would have a short life. I am not sure why but God was guiding us for this moment. PJ has always told me that if something happened to him, he knew I would be fine and our girls would be taken care of. This has been proven true these last months by the overwhelming support we have received.
THANK YOU!
@primadox Not sure if you have regular contact with his wife, but give her this link if you can. FEMA is providing funeral assistance to those who have died from COVID.

RIP. He will be missed.

Condolences to his family - much too young.

Y’all take care of yourselves, friends.
