Stafford never won a playoff game before with the Lions. They both had similar stats too. This is a great opportunity for a team in need of a QB.

Theres no way Allen should survive a losing season, much less 4-13. That would put him at 19-51. Theres just no way he survives that. He chose to keep Carmichael after he drastically underperformed. That falls on him too.

He has no excuses. Loomis went and got him the best FA QB available. He is kicking the can down the road further to give Allen his fair shake. This is it for DA. Division or bust.

Agreed. Folks seem to somehow think that the FO/management are the only ones that could fire PC.....this harkens back to the Mora days, when Mora supporters just blamed everything on Carl Smith.....I mean, does anyone actually believe the HC doesn't have the clout/ability/authority to fire any coach under him? It is an abjectly ridiculous notion....

If the Saints fail to make the playoffs that should be it for DA, but we will see....I think there is a possible silver lining to the Carr signing though, he is a decent-good "bridge" QB that hopefully a better/new coaching staff inherits and buys time to draft the right QB.....

If your QB is better than Dalton then you probably aren’t aggressively trying to replace your QB. If your QB is worse than Dalton then you are exploring all options.

I’ve always thought over the past 3-4 years that Carr is the new “Dalton line” QB.

Crazy coincidence that we moved on from Andy Dalton to Derek Carr.

I can’t believe we paid 37.5M/yr. Want more details.

Another great part of signing Carr is that this deal has absolutely no factor on how compensatory picks are calculated since he was released and not a FA after an expired contract.
