3rd round pick of a wr with rookie contract would be better for us though a higher round pick for a wr depending on the player may be even better

If we were 4-2 and semi healthy and needed a bump it would have been justified

I want to know how much of the salary the Jets are taking on or if they made the trade conditional based on a new or restructured contract.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a rental for the remainder of the season considering Rodgers might well retire anyway. If that's the case, they'll cut him after the season is over and he'll be a FA at that point.

Hopefully, we'll have a new HC next year and we don't need another bloated contract to hamper a rebuild

They won't though. They'll cut him at the end of the season, so they're only on the hook for the remaining games this season. Of course they could keep him beyond this season, but that wouldn't make much sense.

I was all for it before this past weekend. But Sunday was a breaking point.

It wasn’t just the draft pick. We would’ve had to kick the can down the road on some cap stuff to make room, since LV didn’t want to pay. None of it was worth it anymore.
