Saints at the top of Davante Adams’ wish list [Raiders trade Adams to Jets for conditional 3rd ; Jets paying Adams’ entire remaining salary] (1 Viewer)

Maybe I’m overthinking things here, but if you’re Vegas, how willing are you to reunite your former HC, QB, and WR, all who left under unceremonious conditions, to potentially shine together elsewhere and essentially highlight just how dysfunctional your organization is?

Welp, we knew how this story would end.

There is still SOME hope though, I guess…

As I said in another thread, he would immediately be the featured guy in that offense. It was built around him in Green Bay, I’m sure it will be the same in New York. He already knows the terminology and the concepts and could hit the ground running. Hall and Wilson would get a boost in their production, and NY Rodgers might start looking like GB Rodgers.

All that said, the Jets will still lose, so he needs to come to New Orleans.

Obviously either team makes sense. But it’s not really Adams’ decision it’s the Raiders. Adams has a little leverage, he does. But the Raiders aren’t trading to an AFC team. If you’re Adams, my decision would come down to which QB has more longevity, Rogers or Carr. Also, which fan base would you want to play for? Rabid miserable jets fan or the Southern welcoming Saints fans. Also, in NOLA you’ll play in the dome 1/2 the time and once in Atl. Nola imo is beyond a slam dunk. This is more about will Loomis bend if needed.
Disagree with almost every one of those points TBH, except that it's up to the Raiders more than Adams. And they aren't good enough to care about it being an AFC team.

To your other points, he'll want to go where the money is good enough and he plays with whichever team he thinks can win a championship in the two relatively effective years of football he has left. The fan factor stuff is just fan hype.

In all honesty, I think the Raiduhs' front office is so dysfunctional that stuff like that doesn't even occur to them.

Wasn’t Mike Thomas a 2nd rounder?

But point taken
Kool Aid
Foskey
Taylor
Werner

Off the top of my head. Actually, that’s not bad.

Thomas was huge.

When was McCoy taken?

Haha I’m just scarred by Foskey. And some trades happened with 2nd rounders also.

Payton Turner, I think we traded up from the second round. Not sure

We’ve been so bad with 2nd round picks except Kool Aid that we should just offer it

Alontae Taylor, Pete Werner, Eric McCoy, Michael Thomas, Vonn Bell, and Marcus Williams were all 2nd round picks in the last 8 years. Other than Foskey, the last bad 2nd round pick we had was Kikaha in 2015.

That's two bad 2nd round picks in 9 years. If anything, we should be looking for more 2nd round picks.

and stanley baptiste, reggie freeman and so many more

and it felt like a perennial pro bowler was picked not long afterwards

We really don't have many bad 2nd round picks in the last 20 years or so. Pretty much so it's Foskey, Kikaha, and Baptiste.

And to add to all the good picks above, Tracy Porter and Roman Harper were also a 2nd round picks.

Just heard on Sirius that Adams said wants to go to the Jets. The Raiders said they would accommodate if they can strike a deal with the Jets that makes sense for them.
