Loomis caved. Yikes.
Good for Carr. He had all the leverage.

We are in a better place next year to eat $60 million in dead money than we are to eat $50 million in dead money this year (assuming Carr doesn't perform).
Everyone is gonna scream at Mickey, but there wasn't much of a choice here. This was the most realistic way to set up Carr's departure.
And even though it's not a popular position, Kellen Moore wanting a starting QB to work with is understandable.
How did he hamstring the team? We will very likely have a QB making a rookie salary next year(or even this year) and are much better positioned to eat his cap hit next year. That’s why everyone is going to scream at Mickey, he’s chosen to hamstring the team. Moore just ate a crap sandwich of a past coaches bad decision on Carr and now his cap hit next year.

Pretty self explanatory. How do you know it was Loomis who caved?
I'm just glad this will be the nail in the coffin to the borderline delusional thought that Rattler was gonna be the starter this yearI thought Carr was going to change up and take a pay cut?![]()
