Saints draft Jordan Jackson, DT, Air Force (4 Viewers)

But he’s a military academy student so he’s going to the Air Force for four years if he doesn’t get drafted. No UDFA for him unless the military gives him a waiver.
6 yr commitment for officers, however he makes the team, his commitment will be deferred.

Tyrann doesn’t want to be here though. He said he doesn’t fit

Nah. He said we didn't need him. Which is different than not fitting. But, I and people who know more than me, including Underhill, think we do need him. Hopefully they can work out a deal with him on Monday.

Philly just picked Grant Calcaterra TE out of SMU after the Saints picked Jordan Jackson. I guess we have a TE in college or pro FA. Not saying Jackson isn't worthy. Just think we need a TE, and Calcaterra was pretty good.

UPDATE: Looks like Saints signed Lucas Krull, TE, Pitt as an undrafted FA. Cannot believe he did not get drafted. Glad we signed him. Just goes to show you that we need to trust our GM, Draft Specialists and coaches.

Now now... let's not allow facts to creep into this. Its better to let the armchair GMs ***** and moan about a 6th round pick.

My bad I thought his words were “I don’t fit”

Make it happen Loomis

Love, love, love the service aspect. expect unselfishness and team spirit.

let’s get behind this kid. These service academy players don’t often get shots that others do—like not being available for a UDFA contract.

I say, Fly high, Jordan.

Come back to this post when they put these guys on the practice squad.
Ok.
But go ahead and list who we should have taken, and I’m sure I’ll follow them to the practice squad as well.

If you know a guy available at 191 that’s definitely going to make the team…..you are much smarter than any of these coaches and scouting directors.

Round 6 players make opening day squads at 4.9%. I’m impressed you know better selections than who we took at 191.

Hope so, the Taylor kid will play corner, Dennis Allen said Maye is a strong safety in this defense. So it seems Free Safety is still a need.
