Saints expected to be very interested in former Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy (200 Viewers)

I think it's McCarthy's job if he wants it. And I think he will, because it's the complete opposite of what he had in Dallas. In D he had a meddling owner that had a grip on player personnel. Here he would have an owner that spends $ and GM that will pretty much give him what he wants and plenty of patience to get it done. I'll be surprised if he's not our next HC

I agree. He's the safest pick and it's likely the direction Loomis will go if he will take the job. The only question is if he prefers the job in Chicago.

This is my thought as well. Like you said, it's the opposite of what he had in Dallas. That's going to be refreshing to him and let him go until he retires.

All Kingsbury has to do is get a strong DC and let him be the firey guy, much like Ryans did for Shanny in SF. Plus if you think Rattler has a shot he's be the best guy to develop him
What are you basing this on?

Which of the available HC candidates do you trust to FIND and DEVELOP a young QB?? After establishing a new culture that is the next biggest challenge he will have to solve.

Kingsbury

He had Case Keenum, Johnny Manziel. Baker and Mahomes in college. Then went to AZ and had the balls to trade the QB they just spent a top 10 pick on for pennies on the dollar to draft Kyler. And now in DC he has the rookie of the year QB…again. Kyler was also rookie of the year.

I think the familiarity with ML and Mueller along with knowing that he'll pretty much have full reign here will trump the Bears job . Plus playing outdoors in the cold , no offensive HC wants that.

I think that's probably what is going to happen but I do think Chicago is attractive because of Williams and they have a lot of young talent from recent drafts. Still, it's a really tough division to be in, but he was a very successful offensive HC in Green Bay so he knows how to run an offense in those conditions. But he might not want to deal with it at his age.

Kingsbury has developed or helped devlope Mahomes. Murray, Caleb Williams, Daniels and Manzel and Mayfield in college
In college, not the pros. He runs a good offense but I'm not sold on one season with DQ.

The Bears ownership has been a training wreck since Virginia McCaskey passed away 21 years ago. Who in their right minds would want to go there?

If he has to choose between the Saints and Bears…. I think he chooses the Saints.

The Bears brass is a hot mess, and he’d have all kinds of hell trying to build that team. If you don’t know what I mean go do some research on their ownership and upper management recent history.

The Bears are also in a division with 2 teams that won 14 games this year, and a young up and coming team that made the playoffs too. That’s 3 teams from that division in the playoffs this year.

He’d have none of those issues here.

Just my two cents
