Saints expected to be very interested in former Packers/Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy [McCarthy will interview early next week] (26 Viewers)

I'm more intrigued by Kingsbury personally. I think he's learned a lot since his first shot in AZ. But I wouldn't hate McCarthy either.
Of the guys already on our list and the one that will be and one that should be. In no order my choices are Glenn, Kingsbury, McCarthy and I wish they would ask to interview Coen. But I think it's going to be between Glenn and McCarthy

I've heard that he came into AZ and didn't establish things the way he should have and have heard him acknowledge that Dan Quinn has been an influence on how he would do things differently if given another shot. Kingsburry came in straight from college and didn't have NFL head coach mentors beforehand. I think he'd be better the second time.

And he had a playoff appearance in AZ, which is still an upgrade over DA.
All Kingsbury has to do is get a strong DC and let him be the firey guy, much like Ryans did for Shanny in SF. Plus if you think Rattler has a shot he's be the best guy to develop him

He had Patrick Mahomes for three years and still couldn't put anything together. He's like Chip Kelly but people still buy the hype for some reason.
All you had to do is watch the absolute horrible game he called yesterday. Make no mistake about it, his redzone play calling was literally the main factor that almost cost them the game. That’s just about every big game for him as a play caller. Thank God he won’t be a real candidate. I can’t think this organization is that stupid.

Just get me to the dance consistently. I’m fine relying on the football gods for luck for a few years.

I remember Andy Reid once having a playoff bugaboo too. And outside of our one SB title run, SP has had plenty of playoff bugaboos too.

Winning in the playoffs is tough; some guys just have less luck than others.
And Reid only won 1 playoff game before Mahomes became the starter in KC. If Reid had not drafted Mahomes and got fired would everyone be onboard with hiring him as HC?

Yeah, agree and why I said "maybe". Dak's contract is scary and Jones will always put a finger on the scale of football decisions. I think coaching candidates may look at that job as flawed.
Deon Sanders had better. It would be a circus if he was hired there, and he’d be gone in a year. His ego and Jones’s wouldn’t fit in the Jerry Dome.

Yeah anyone who takes that Dallas job has to love Dak. He’s there for at least two more years. Maybe more if they do any restructuring.

And they have to be cool with Jerry getting in front of a camera after every game and running his mouth on the radio every week.
Jerry’s literally the defacto head coach.

One of the NOF guys… I think it was Tripplet recently called it the most uncomfortable thing he’s ever covered in New Orleans. He’s one of the highest rated QBs in the league. The only QB to win a game for us in two years. And people act like he’s Danny Wuerffel.
Classic case of piling on to the popular narrative without doing any research. Like the sheep in Animal Farm.

Which of the available HC candidates do you trust to FIND and DEVELOP a young QB?? After establishing a new culture that is the next biggest challenge he will have to solve.
