He deserves a chance to be a defensive coordinator again somewhere and he stabilized our defense after the disastrous mid 2010s. But the man's not a head coach and he never should have been ours.
Id still let him be our DC again just get a firey young HC

People need to chill with the Gayle stuff. Shes a good owner. She pays a ton of $ to give this team whatever they need and just did something that none of us thought would actually happen: fire a coach mid season.

I am not sure he would want to do that here and it's probably best we move on. You can acknowledge someone's contributions to your team in the past but realize it's time to move on (Mora should be regarded as a Saints legend, but it was right for him to move on).

Glad that chapter is over. Rizzi is a good special team coach and should be a fine interim but I'm hoping it stays that way and he doesn't become the permanent HC after the season. We need a clean break with that entire staff.

That's one way to look at it.....but it seems the consensus that Gayle did the deed and not Loomis.....

The other way to look at it is once again the Saints held onto an obviously incompetent HC and wasted 3 years, that the fans had to suffer through.....

Here's to finding another competent HC soon!!!!!!
Here's to having a competent Front Office who can find and sign a competent HC.

Put some respect on MTs name he contributed to this. He got the memo..

"Gayle Benson began meeting with players last week to get a feel for what was wrong with the Saints. At the end, she and the organization decided to act"

He is winning for this organization even when he isn't even in it.
If you’re talking Michael Thomas, I am worried about his posts. Not this one but his many others. I hope he can get his act together and get over his bitterness and just start enjoying life.

He won't be unemployed very long. He'll be hired as a DC or secondary coach somewhere soon.
