Could be wrong, but to my ears it sounds like that this is the departure of Carr. He's really dancing around (literally) this question. If he's sold on Carr, he woud've said it.

You could read it that way, but he was pretty committed to canned answers on roster stuff. So I wouldn't read too far into it. The real proof is in where things end up 1 month from now.

It's been every season, the Saints consistently grade terribly in food.

All comes down to the grades. Don't pass over a more talented player just because you feel you MUST go OL/DL. The player has to match the pick, and be available. We gotta get out of the habit of reaching for needs. The draft is an opportunity to stack up good players for now but also mostly for the future.

The DT Graham is in my bubble...not sure I feel good enough about any of the offensive linemen that'll be in our range at 9 though.

On the bright side, while he was definitely nervous and certainly not a natural speaking to the media (to be expected at his age and experience level).. there wasn't anything cringe worthy ala Liam Coen that'll live in infamy on the internet.

Moore said he wasn't the biggest, fastest, strongest QB, knew he would need to be the smartest.

I think that's why we so often see successful coaches who had short or terrible NFL careers. They weren't talented enough to rely on that for a career, so they had to literally be the smartest guy in the room and at practice just to have the opportunity to get on the field.

That translates extremely well to coaching.

It’s doubtful that he has had the time to get into the weeds to be able to answer questions like roster specifics. No doubt he has given some thought to many issues, but it’s not reasonable to expect answers to very specific questions at this stage.

He had to prepare for the Superbowl, after all. He has already hired some staff, so once he gets back from tomorrow’s parade, I’ll guess he’ll be going full speed ahead.

He’s reasonably articulate but obviously nervous. Not a single time did he begin a sentence with “I think this…”
