Saints head coach Kellen Moore introductory press conference, media updates, February 13, 2025 (9 Viewers)

Just dropping this here as everyone tries to put things under a microscope....

I honestly genuinely just think Moore doesn't know yet what he's going to do there and has to do more deep-dive work first, in collaboration with his coaches and personnel men...this isn't a decision you can just make on a whim.

You have to first make sure you believe in the alternative QB option(s), and there is also a financial direction component to consider.

Heck, KEEPING Carr and freeing up his dollars could very well be necessary to get the guy we want for all we know. There is a lot of work to do.

He’s so nervous. Huge reason to be though. He’ll settle down.
i see that he's jacked up not nervous. (he does college football clinics in auditoriums he's not some nervous rookie speaker) He's about speed and efficiency and you can tell his mind works fast and efficient. No cute diversions and long stories about himself and this and that. He seems that its all about the team operating fast and efficiently. And his body language suggests, "Can we just get into the football meetings and the film room and lets get this thing going, i was born to do this, I'm ready, lets do this"

Yep. Learned this through Philly.

Gonna go OL/DL with our first pick .
It took several years of committing to that philosophy to eventually dominate the trenches in the Super Bowl. Top 100 picks under Sirianni:

Six players on the front seven
Three OL
Three DB’s
One offensive skill guy (Smith)

They seem to go after their skill players in free agency while seeking a steady flow of talent from the draft to their front lines.

I hope someone took him out for a good first meal in New Orleans. (Hopefully no Chipotle this time.)

Good observation.

Think we need to lean-in on the Cowboys years too a bit. That's a lot of his foundation.

My favorite answer of Moore was when they asked him if he's going to lean on the run or the pass.

His said he goal is to stress the defense and it doesn't matter if through the run or pass.

That's refreshing to hear since DA was all about the defense carrying the team and wanting the offense to be a running and ball control type of offense.

Moore sounds like he is going to look to exploit matchups instead of forcing an archaic identity no matter how ineffective it is.

It’s doubtful that he has had the time to get into the weeds to be able to answer questions like roster specifics. No doubt he has given some thought to many issues, but it’s not reasonable to expect answers to very specific questions at this stage.

He had to prepare for the Superbowl, after all. He has already hired some staff, so once he gets back from tomorrow’s parade, I’ll guess he’ll be going full speed ahead.

He’s reasonably articulate but obviously nervous. Not a single time did he begin a sentence with “I think this…”

I certainly think that's the case with most positions on the team, but you would have to think he has some idea what he wants to do at QB. I'm sure part of his interview was what his plan would be a QB. I don't think he revealed anything about it today, but I would bet he knows what he wants to do and is working with Loomis to figure out how to do it.

He also saw this team at close to it's best this season when we played the Eagles so close. So that could influence how he sees the roster and specific players. Especially players on the defense.
