Saints planned to interview Mike McCarthy; McCarthy didn’t garner enough interest from Saints and will take a year off (8 Viewers)

That what we get when every wannabe Youtube, podcast unqualified guy that never played ,coached a real football game that takes a course and thinks he's a expert searching for clicks is out there.

And the worst part is all the goofballs that think that just because the guy is on the internet he knows what he or she is talking about and post the video like it's Bill Walsh in the video SMH
His Offensive cordial was fired in 2023. He is coaching the Eagles. Some
People are calling f for us to hire Kellen Moore. I get the fact nobody wants him because of his age. They want the next Sean Mcvay. Hell I do too. The fact is that I just don’t see that coach out there this cycle. I hope I a Wrong. This team is a dumpster fire. Our front office has been terrible recently at drafting. Letting talent out the building. I just think from a football standpoint. McCarthy who was won everywhere he has gone with the exception of that 49ers
2nd down and 3. Carr throws it 30 yards for a low percentage pass. 3rd down and ten. Carr checks it down for a three yard pass. I am still pissed at the hospital balls he has thrown. I hate how his percentage goes up when we are losing in the fourth quarter. Eric McCoy almost beat the breaks off of him last year because he cannot decipher protection. Then blamed his Offensive line. When he hung Olave out last year when he was not even in the progression. I knew then I hated this dude. Then he is smug. Go look at the tape. He is not taking a pay cut. He is not serious. McCarthy will bring very respectable Defensive players. He will bring Cooper Rush over from Dallas for 3-5 Million Dollars. He will rebuild it. The idea of Derek Carr staying here makes me sick to my stomach. Get out of Salary Cap hell. Go get Arch next year
well people are tlface palming. Your right. He may want Carr. Then you’re paying 79 million. You’re right Carr didn’t play defense last year. He didn’t play much Offense either. Rattler did a lot of that.

He was there for 13 years, it wasn’t on one contract. Using that logic, no one should have hired Reid after he was fired by the Eagles.

Reid didn’t have a player mutiny nor was his game planning reportedly so abysmal that players started running different plays like McCarthy.

Yes Andy Reid’s last two seasons with the Eagles were bad, but it’s attributed to grief since his son died at training camp.

Reid needed a fresh beginning from a tragedy involving the death of his son. McCarthy just became a bad coach and it showed it Dallas.

Reid is having massive success in his 2nd job after losing his first due to tragedy. McCarthy just finished failing at his 2nd stint and looking for his 3rd.

So no. There’s nothing remotely appropriate comparing the two.

99% want an Offensive Coordinator. But realistically, if we don't persue McCarthy, we are gonna end up with Glenn.
Yeah, it's weird considering McCarthy's background matches what they want in a coach than Glenn... but then... oMGzz daLlaS cOAch!! ReTReaD!

This is absolute nonsense. That was entirely driven by Rodgers. It's quite obvious Rodgers has caused headaches for multiple coaches in his career. At some point, you have to call a spade a spade. Rodgers is usually the guy in the middle of these messes.

The downturn started before his son passed. Regardless, coaching is cyclical. Every coach has their ups and downs. Comes with the territory for even the best coaches.

This is simply not true, but if you want to believe made up stories, that's your prerogative I suppose. Your points have been debunked time and time again in this thread.

Some people see what they want to see. Denying the obvious is a choice I guess.

No. I could care less about all that. The guy hasn’t been good for over a decade, nearly going on 15 years.

And when he took over play calling in Dallas, their offense got worse.

You might have said already, but who is the candidate (candidates) you like to be the next head coach?

I don’t understand why some people expect coaches to win every single year, endlessly. It truly is a “Dynasty or bust” mentality.

Even in our most revered Golden Era of our franchise, with a HOF QB and a HOF HC, we saw several losing seasons.

McCarthy isn’t perfect, but he gets results. He wins MOST of the time. If your expectation with this hire is Chiefs Andy Reid type results, then you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

12-5 and top 5 scoring offense in the league 3 of the last 4 years is not good? He led the Packers to 4 straight NFC North titles from 2010 to 2014 and again in 2016. That's less than 15 years ago, yeah?

Won the division twice with the Cowboys and had 3 consecutive 12-5 seasons with a top 5 offense. Dak struggled in the playoffs tho. He's not a Mahomes or Brees or even Rodgers. He's struggled in high pressure moments. That's not a coaching issue.

But i guess you don't care about results.

Lmao.

Yeah, I understand if people prefer other candidates on their own merits, but adamantly staking out a claim that McCarthy is a bad coach is wild when his track record more than proves he isn’t. Historically. All-time.

That isn’t to predict an outcome if he lands here - a lot goes into achieving success in team sports - but it’s not difficult to make a case in his favor based on his accomplishments.
