More like boys. This is SUCH a weird phrase. You're not alone in using it, but it is so strange to say.

And then he stepped up. He played well down the stretch. You can always hire an enforcer on your staff. I remember Curtis Johnson going in on Meachem in training camp in the 09 season. We all heard it in the stands, he told him straight up, "You aint in college anymore, you gonna f'in learn today." Then Gregg Williams got on him after. We couldn't exactly see what Meachem did but he got unloaded on.
We are just ready for someone to be hired, we have weighed the pros and cons of everyone that was interviewed or scheduled for an interview and for the most part we are all settling on the fact we hope is it Moore but we have to wait for an official announcement and that can come by the weekend of after the super bowl so anything printed about the Saints we eat up because we just want an idea of where the Saints a leaning.this is a good point. NONE of our local beat writers has even gotten a crumb of "inside info". Everyone are saying the same thing, we have no clue who the Saints are hiring.
I don't know. Where there is smoke there is usually some fire. It's not just the podcasters saying it anymore. It's local and national media saying it. I believe the front office overestimated how desirable the Saints job is right now. You could hear it in his end of season presser when he said he didn't think he had to sell the job to candidates. Either way, somebody is taking this job in a couple more weeks at the latest.
Is Ireland now bad at scouting? Remember the guy we had before?I can certainly understand why McCarthy would want that control considering both our lack of draft success since 2017 and the situation he had in Dallas. And maybe it would be a good thing for the Saints. I just don't know if McCarthy would be better at it than what we have now. Although I will say that I have long wished that they would move on from Jeff Ireland as the head of college scouting and the guy in de facto control of our drafts.
At the same point, IIRC, Ron Wolf had full control of the Packers when McCarthy was there and Jerry clearly had full control in Dallas so I'm not sure if McCarthy is the guy you want to give full control over you personnel decisions and drafting. But it is tempting considering how at best mediocre our drafting has been since 2017.
opposite effect with me, the more coaches we bleed, the lesser chances Rizzi is the guy.My gut feeling that Rizzi will be named HC is growing.
So we could surprisingly hire Kafka or Wheeler.this is a good point. NONE of our local beat writers has even gotten a crumb of "inside info". Everyone are saying the same thing, we have no clue who the Saints are hiring.

You said that ML said DA WAS Chuck Knoll. ML said was"Mickey Loomis on keeping HC Dennis Allen: “Chuck Noll his first three years: 1-13, 5-9, 6-8. They recognized he's a good football coach. Bill Belichick, his first three years: 6-10, 7-9, 7-9. Tom Landry: 0-11, 4-9, 5-8, 4-10, 5-8. All of them Hall of Fame coaches. The easy thing is to blame them.”
The meaning of this statement was if Knoll , Belichick and Landry were fired in the 1st few yrs of being a HC then those teams would have missed out on a HOF HC. In fact Cleveland DID.
NOWHERE did ML say that DA was Chuck Knoll . You read what you wanted to read. And don't go accusing me of taking up for DA , he needed to be fired but your hatred of ML is blinding you from what he meant
Thank you. I thought I was crazy for seeing it that wayYou said that ML said DA WAS Chuck Knoll. It feels like at times, the player that's drafted isn't always aligned with the coach. I think there's a good possibility that the coach doesn't always win in the draftroom. Not terrible, but great either.
This is genius. Yes this is all trueLOL , so let me get this right. By your ridiculous logic. Brees made Payton, Brady made Belichick ,Mahomes made Reid,Montana made Walsh, Aikman made Johnson, Elway made Shannahan . Roethlisberger made Tomlin. Should I go on??
Agreed. I do wonder if Gayle will place more power in the new HC hands in light of this.Likely not this year. If does stand to reason that if the next head coach is as abysmal as Dennis Allen or close to, Loomis could take a walk with that head coach when the time comes.
