If so I would have thought that Jean-Charles was one of them but he got cut. Then again, this isn't going to be the final 53 and I suspect Abram will be one of those guys that get promoted the game day roster from the practice squad.
It seems like the last couple of years that the team is constantly churning the bottom of the DB roster throughout the season.

I don’t think that any of our RBs looked that good this season. My argument isn’t Perine over Kamara or Williams. It’s Perine over the slew of other mid RBs on our team.

The Saints aren't finished making cuts today. As of now, Kamara, Williams, Mims, and Prentice remain on the roster leading up to the initial 53-man roster at 3pm.

There will be a slew of WRs and some good RBs on the market after the cuts are made today.

There are also a few veteran free agent players that remain unsigned.

Someone remind me, what's the difference between released vs. waived. I'm assuming it has to do with the type of contact.

This makes the most sense. We are all frustrated with his inability to stay healthy. But the fact is that he has talent so there is no point in cutting him when you can put him on IR to get healthy and learn the system.
I wonder if he actually tore his hamstring, I mean 4 weeks is a long time to be out for that type of injury.

Players with 4 or more years of experience are "Released" and they are free to sign with whatever team they choose.

Players with less than 4 years of experience are "Waived" and they are exposed to the wavier wire in which teams have an opportunity to claim said player based on this years draft order. If a player is claimed he must be immediately placed on the 53-man roster which means the team claiming the player must cut another player to make room for the player claimed.

So Kendre Miller remains on the team via the injured reserve. Does that mean he will be able to come back to the team after he is healed?

It does on SR. Strief was a 7th round pick. That seems to be the expectation now since they did it once. I'm not sure how you can have 30 starters, but that seems to be the expectation.
Marques Colston was almost Mr. Irrelevant

Waived is when a player with fewer than four accrued seasons is cut. Other teams can claim that player and their contract without the player having a choice.

Released is when a player with 4+ accrued seasons is cut. They are a free agent, and they are free to sign wherever they choose.
