I did think the same as soon as I typed it out.Olave would probably feel like he’s in some sort of personalized hell if he ended up traded and still on the same team as Carr….as they say in 2025, “that’s some nasty work”

A lot our limited cap just went for a depth piece…
I’m firmly in the always pessimistic about my Saints camp….as you know, been that way with em for 45 years lmao… even I can’t find a thing wrong with this signing at this price. We have (had) over $30m in cap space. Wasn’t depth what people were complaining about all year long?
Why stop there? What does Michael Thomas do these days? Bring the band back together? We have (had) over $30m in cap space. Wasn’t depth what people were complaining about all year long?
“Damn you Loomis. You screwed up our cap and now we can’t get depth.”
:::fixes cap, creates tons of space, acquires depth:::
“Damn you Loomis, wasting our cap space on depth!”
Run it (way) back? Why stop there? What does Michael Thomas do these days? Bring the band back together?
Unsurprisingly Matt doesn’t like the move. lol
If a team puts up 600 yards in a game and a WR doesn’t get a SINGLE target I think that’s more an issue with that WR, no? Obviously the team is throwing it to anyone who is open. However I remember he said it after a game where he had like 3 catches for 27 yards in a win or something like that. Wish I could recall who it was against. Falcons maybe? IdkAgain with this....he didnt' complain about getting the ball enough - he said something after a game where he didn't get A SINGLE TARGET....not one in a game where we put up 600 yards or some nonsense. Dude was still on his rookie contract, he had to say something or it would've became a habit to shut him out of the gameplan and then they would've been able to come back come contract time and say well...............
The other thing, which is an alleged BTW...that he said about Drew's arm not being strong enough - well...............

Also, the last 2 years Cooks was here Brees threw for 4870 and 5,208 yards so I don’t want to hear anything about arm strength issues. His last 2 seasons where he didn’t break 3k? Sure. But when throwing 5k yards? Nonsense.
Ty. Great memory. It was the Rams game. Everyone ate that day except him.
Question is, are you paying for past or future production? Either you believe he will bounce back at age 32 from a subpar season, or he is already losing it. I think the latter.MVS is 1 year younger but hasn’t produced anything comparable to what Cooks has in his career. So Cooks had to get more that him.
Well, correct. But the point is that the market dictated Cooks had to get more than MVS at just 1 year older. We’re not talking about a 5 year age difference or something of that nature.Question is, are you paying for past or future production?
