Brandin Cooks missed October/November last season (2024) with an infection in his knee after undergoing a procedure in New York following the Cowboys' win against the Giants.

Again with this....he didnt' complain about getting the ball enough - he said something after a game where he didn't get A SINGLE TARGET....not one in a game where we put up 600 yards or some nonsense. Dude was still on his rookie contract, he had to say something or it would've became a habit to shut him out of the gameplan and then they would've been able to come back come contract time and say well...............

If a team puts up 600 yards in a game and a WR doesn’t get a SINGLE target I think that’s more an issue with that WR, no? Obviously the team is throwing it to anyone who is open. However I remember he said it after a game where he had like 3 catches for 27 yards in a win or something like that. Wish I could recall who it was against. Falcons maybe? Idk

Also, the last 2 years Cooks was here Brees threw for 4870 and 5,208 yards so I don’t want to hear anything about arm strength issues. His last 2 seasons where he didn’t break 3k? Sure. But when throwing 5k yards? Nonsense.

MVS is 1 year younger but hasn’t produced anything comparable to what Cooks has in his career. So Cooks had to get more that him.

Question is, are you paying for past or future production? Either you believe he will bounce back at age 32 from a subpar season, or he is already losing it. I think the latter.

Well, correct. But the point is that the market dictated Cooks had to get more than MVS at just 1 year older. We’re not talking about a 5 year age difference or something of that nature.
