No doubt. All reward and literally no risk. There's a reason Kiko has been banging around the league for what seems like the last two decades. When he's healthy he can play. And even after all this time he's only 31. That's oldish for a LBer but it's not ancient. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if he still has some good football left. It would surprise me if he stayed healthy long enough to prove that though. We needed depth and insurance at the position…. And he can play all 3 spots…. If he’s healthy it’s a good signing.
He’s only here to fight Penning!
Saints traded Kiko for Kwon… now they let Kwon walk and bring Kiko back?
Same such a wasted pick.I'd still trust him over Baun playing anything other than special teams.
Solid signing. Will provide some depth and he is already familiar with team. Interestingly enough, remember Alonso was traded to the Niners for Kwon Alexander in 2020, now he is back with the Saints.
Not as wasted as Kikaha. At least Baun has had some decent special teams play. I just don't understand why they picked a pass rush specialist and tried to turn him into an off-ball LB.Same such a wasted pick.
Agreed on both counts. Not as wasted as Kikaha. At least Baun has had some decent special teams play. I just don't understand why they picked a pass rush specialist and tried to turn him into an off-ball LB.
I wonder what the cost difference is between the respective deals of Kwon and Alonso. On the surface, it surely seems like the former would have been preferable.
So they wait until Kwon is signed by the Jets, then go get Alonso, who hasn't played in forever because of injury? I mean I guess they have their reasons and all but from where I sit Kwon would have been the better choice.
Kikaha was such a let down. I remember his first few games for us he started off so well. Forcing a few fumbles and constantly being around the ball. But guy was riddled with injuries and fell off fast. We knew that when we drafted him though. Not as wasted as Kikaha. At least Baun has had some decent special teams play. I just don't understand why they picked a pass rush specialist and tried to turn him into an off-ball LB.
How many times did the Saints draft a player that played one position and switch him too another position and it always failed miserably. Square peg in a round hole syndrome. Not as wasted as Kikaha. At least Baun has had some decent special teams play. I just don't understand why they picked a pass rush specialist and tried to turn him into an off-ball LB.
Only player I can think of the position change working in is McCoy.How many times did the Saints draft a player that played one position and switch him too another position and it always failed miserably. Square peg in a round hole syndrome.
You should already know it was sarcasm. Could of had Kwon, to whom, was basically waiting for us..You just catching up?
Oh I know..I was being sarcastic. We could of have signed Kwon but a week later we sign a guy that hasn't played in 3 years.Kwon chose to sign with Jets last week.
We got him from Miami when they were trading away a lot of there players. Then traded him away in 2019.I swear i dont remember this player.
